A man has been charged in connection with the death of a pedestrian and his pet dog, who were hit by a car.
Craig Dixon, 39, and his dog Duchess were on Westgate in Guisborough on 2 December 2022 when both were struck by a silver Citroen C3.
Passers-by tried to help Mr Dixon until paramedics arrived, but he died in hospital.
The suspect is accused of causing death by careless driving and will appear at Teesside Magistrates鈥 Court on Friday 21 June.
