Stranger bites off part of man's ear outside bar
A man had part of his ear bitten off by a stranger in an unprovoked attack in Ballymena, County Antrim.
The incident happened at about 02:10 GMT on Ballymoney Street.
Police said the man was leaving a bar when he was approached from behind by an unknown male, who bit him.
The attacker then made off from the scene on foot.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment.
A police investigation is underway.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has footage of the incident to contact them.
