Attempted murder probe launched after man found in street
Police are appealing for information after an attempted murder early on Saturday morning.
Officers were called to Greenock shortly after midnight where they found a 21-year-old man seriously injured in West Blackhall Street.
He was taken to hospital and remains in a serious condition, Police Scotland said.
The street was closed while officers carried out inquiries.
Det Insp Euan McMillan said: "We are looking for any witnesses who had been in the area around the time of this incident to contact police.
"Additionally, anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage around this time which may assist in our inquiries is asked to come forward."
