A man has been taken to hospital after suffering a stab wound in Derby.
Derbyshire Police said officers were called just before 19:40 BST on Sunday after the victim was injured.
Police believed he was approached by a man while inside at Shawarma 4 You takeaway, in Pear Tree Road, Normanton, and assaulted.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, and officers are appealing for information.
A spokeswoman said: "We would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious between around 19:15 and 19.40 that evening.
"At this time, we believe the incident is isolated, and with no wider risk to the public.
"Uniformed police patrols are taking place in the area for community reassurance, and we would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to local officers."
