A driver who swerved in front of a motorcyclist before getting out and attacking him is being sought by police.
The rider was on the A511 between Ashby and Swadlincote, Derbyshire, at about 11:45 GMT on 25 January when the confrontation took place.
Police said the victim was approaching the roundabout at Boundary when he was undertaken by the driver of a red car, who swerved in front, then braked hard.
There was a collision and the rider fell on to the grass verge, before the driver got out and punched him.
The motorcyclist suffered a black eye and broken nose, police said.
Officers have appealed for witnesses, saying there were a number of other vehicles in the area at the time, including several belonging to a funeral procession.
