Man dies after lorry and car crash shuts A47

A man has died after a car and a lorry were involved in a crash in Leicestershire.

Emergency services were called to a collision on the A47 near Skeffington at about 11:00 BST on Wednesday, Leicestershire Police said.

A spokesman for the force confirmed the road" is currently closed and is likely to remain so for a number of hours yet".

The identity of the man who has died has not been confirmed.
