Man charged with attempted murder after assault
A man has been charged with attempted murder following an assault in Alford.
Police were called to an address on Christopher Road, Alford at 01:00 BST on Friday.
Police said a man in his 50s was seriously injured after "allegedly being attacked with a hammer and a knife".
Craig Jones, 32, of Station Road, Mablethorpe, is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Two women, aged 29 and 47, have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and have been released on bail.
