Arrest after discovery of elderly man's body
A man in his 50s has been arrested following the discovery of an elderly man's body in Londonderry.
Police said they went to a house in the Culmore Road area of Derry on Wednesday evening following a report of "a sudden death of a man in his 80s".
In an updated statement on Thursday, the police have said that a man in his 50s had since been arrested in connection with the investigation.
He remains in police custody at this time.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out at a later date to determine the cause of death.
A police presence remained at the scene on Thursday.
