Car stripped of its parts in cross-border theft
A car stolen in Strabane, County Tyrone, has been found 18 miles away in the Republic of Ireland stripped of it parts.
Officers said that keys to a white Audi Q7 were taken from a property in the Bracken Gate area of Strabane sometime between 12:30 and 01:00 on Sunday.
The car was later found in Ballybofey, County Donegal, stripped of its engine, wheels, doors, bonnet and boot.
The police said this was a "well-planned and organised theft".
"We want to hear from anyone who is offered parts for sale, similar to those stripped from the Audi, to get in touch," they said.
