Euros: 'Spanglish' family's shirt solution for son

A young boy whose mum is English and dad is Spanish was so torn about who to support in the Euros final he got a special shirt made.

Edward, nine, from Wolverhampton, wanted to support both sides in the final so he could not lose, so his mum, Gemma, made him a half-and-half shirt.

Gemma said there was "tension in the house" ahead of kick-off.

She said she had told her husband Eduardo, who is from Seville, that if Spain win, she will still love him, "but give it a week!".

Gemma, raised in Walsall, has predicted a 2-1 win to England, while her husband has gone for 2-1 to Spain.

As she had decorated the house in readiness for the match, there was "a big England flag in the window, and a tiny Spanish flag in the corner," she said.

Gemma added she could not cut up her son's football shirts, so she split them in half by pulling one sleeve into the other, then using clips down the front.
