Charges brought after man attacked in street
Two men have been charged after a man was left in a critical condition when he was attacked near a pub.
Police were called to the incident near Walkabout on Queen Street in Blackpool at about 04:25 BST on Saturday.
A man in his 50s was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, where he remains, Lancashire Police said.
A 36-year-old from Fleetwood was charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent and a 39-year-old from Blackpool was charged with affray and assault.
Both were due to appear before magistrates in Lancaster.
