Police hunt for prisoner missing from HMP Castle Huntly
Police are hunting for a prisoner reported missing from HMP Castle Huntly near Dundee.
Members of the public have been warned not to approach 33-year-old Martin Jackson, who absconded at about 18:30 on Wednesday.
Jackson, who has connections in both Ayr and Cumbria, is described as white, around 5ft 10in tall and is bald with red facial hair.
Police Scotland said he was last known to be wearing a grey top and bottoms with a dark jacket. He may have a grey backpack, plastic bag and black baseball cap.
