Man dies in four-car crash
An 85-year old man has died after suffering serious injuries in a traffic accident involving four vehicles.
He died in hospital yesterday following the crash on 22 May on the A415, close to Abingdon Town Football Club.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) said a silver VW Golf initially collided with a blue Ford C-Max before hitting a black VW Polo.
The collision saw the Ford C-Max hit a silver Ford Focus in which the victim was a passenger.
TVP said that the driver of the Ford Focus, a 60-year-old man, had suffered minor injuries, and had been treated at hospital, but had since been discharged.
The driver of the VW Golf, a 40-year-old man, had also been taken to hospital in Oxford with minor injuries.
The driver of the black VW Polo, a 67-year-old woman, suffered a fractured wrist but has since been discharged.
A 36-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl who occupied the blue Ford C-Max suffered minor injuries and did not need to be taken to hospital.
Detective Constable Darren Baker of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit appealed to anyone who had been travelling on the Abingdon to Culham Road or had dashcam footage of the incident to get in touch.
