A man, aged 31, has been rearrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Det Ch Insp Damian Roebuck of the Homicide and Major Inquiry Team said the victim's family were being supported and extensive inquiries were under way.
鈥淲e know that there were a lot of people in Crown Street at the time who witnessed the incident," he said.
"I would appeal directly to them to come forward and help us in our investigation.
鈥淲e are also appealing to any drivers who were in the area at the time who may have dash cam footage to come forward.鈥
