Arrest after car driven on wrong side of motorway
Police officers have arrested a woman after a vehicle was reportedly seen being driven the wrong way along a motorway.
The car was spotted travelling between Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, and Stotfold, Bedfordshire, on the A1(M) at about 02:00 BST on Tuesday morning.
Hertfordshire Police said officers found the Audi vehicle at its owner's home following a search.
A woman in her 50s was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink, the police said. She has been released on bail.
