Teen charged with serious sexual assault of 16-year-old

An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the serious sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in Stranraer.

The incident is believed to have happened in a property in the east end of the town at about 02:00 on Sunday.

Police said it was initially reported to have taken place in Agnew Park.
