Cash stolen and damage caused in store burglary
Cash was snatched and damage was caused during a break-in at a North Yorkshire supermarket.
It happened at the Co-op store in Leyburn late on Monday night, according to police.
Two males broke into an outer door at about 22:30 BST, before breaking through a main door at about 23:00 BST and causing damage to the till area before leaving with an unspecified amount of cash, officers said.
Anyone who saw what happened, or who had information about the incident, was asked to get in touch with North Yorkshire Police.
One of the suspects was wearing all black clothing and navy blue trainers, while the other was wearing a turquoise jacket with black trousers and trainers, a force spokesperson said.
