Crane accident closes part of A96 in Aberdeenshire

An accident involving a crane has closed part of the A96 in Aberdeenshire.

The incident happened near Pitmachie, north of Inverurie, at about 06:30.

No-one was believed to have been seriously injured.

However diversions were put in place to allow what was expected to be a lengthy recovery operation to take place.
