Fire crews were called to a restaurant after black smoke was seen pouring from the rear of the building.
The incident happened at Gurkha Imperial Dining on Worcester Road in Bromsgrove at about 12:49 GMT.
Three fire engines, from Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch, attended the scene with crews locating the cause of the fire in the restaurant's kitchen.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said police and the ambulance service had also attended and confirmed no injuries had been reported.
Worcester Road was closed before it was later reopened at 14:17 GMT once the blaze had been extinguished.
Following the incident, fire crews ventilated the building to get rid of the smoke.
