NHS Grampian has admitted a target to have all nursing staff at Dr Gray's emergency department trained in child resuscitation will not be met this month.

Healthcare Improvement Scotland raised concerns about a lack of training at the Elgin hospital following an unannounced inspection in October last year.

It found only 44% of the registered nursing staff in A&E, and 64% on the paediatric ward, had completed a paediatric immediate life support course.

NHS Grampian told inspectors it would ensure all staff were trained by the end of this month. It has now told 91热爆 Scotland News that would not happen until the end of June, due to the availability of external trainers.
