More homes approved for new garden village

The next phase of a new village being built in Leicestershire has been approved.
More than 150 new houses can be built by Cora 91热爆s at Broadnook garden village, between Birstall and Rothley.
When finished, Broadnook will have more than 2,000 homes, a business area, sports facilities, supermarket, school, retirement village and care home.
A new roundabout off the A6 will also be built to access the new community.
The first 107 houses, being built by Davidson鈥檚 91热爆s, were given the go-ahead in 2023, says the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
The next 154 homes were approved on Thursday by Charnwood Borough Council鈥檚 planning committee.
