Person dies in ground floor flat fire
A police and fire investigation has been launched after one person died in a blaze in a block of flats.
Fire crews were called to Crocus Close, off Hawthorne Drive, Ipswich, at 10:28 GMT on Tuesday.
The cause of the ground floor fire is not believed to be suspicious, police said.
Station manager Alex Smith said three crews from Ipswich attended the "well developed" fire and no one else was injured.
The fire was extinguished by 11:41 and residents have been allowed to return to their homes.
Suffolk Police said a joint investigation with Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service had begun.
