Conspiracy to murder charge over car park shooting
A man has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder after a man was critically wounded in a shooting in County Down three months ago.
The victim, who is in his 40s, was shot in his abdomen near the A1 in Banbridge on the evening of 12 April.
He spent a number of weeks in hospital recovering from the attack which took place in a car park off the Rathfriland Road.
The suspect, who is 46, is expected to appear before Banbridge Magistrates' Court, sitting in Newry Courthouse, on 8 August.
