Calke Abbey is a quintessential British parkland with its ancient oak trees, Fallow Deer and birds of prey.

Nature lovers will be impressed by the variety of habitats and wildlife on offer.

Calke also boasts over 600 acres of ancient pasture land, some of which include the rarest woodland habitats in the Britain.

Access:Disabled parking. Braille guide. House - access to part of ground floor. Adapted WC near car park. The grounds are partly accessible but some areas have slopes and there are some steps and uneven paths. Map of accessible route on website.
Getting there:

The country estate of Calke Abbey is just a few miles south of Derby.

Opening times:

Garden is open daily except Thursdays and Fridays 11am-5pm between mid March and 1 September. Open daily 11am-5pm from 29 June-1 September. House is open daily except Thursdays and Fridays between mid March and late October.

Charges:

House & garden: Adults £6.80; children £3.40.
