After the Faroes and Denmark - next stop Cyprus.
It was a cracking atmosphere at the game, but one thing I didn't anticipate was that the dry weather here would affect my throat as much as it did. The best decision I made was having two drinks on hand during the commentary - I constantly sipped them throughout the game. The GSP Stadium in Nicosia, Cyprus City made hard work of the game, missing a hatful of clear cut chances, but in the end the two goals from Jo, one off his heel,听 proved to be enough. The crowd produced a cracking atmosphere, especially when they took the lead, but you've got to hand it to the City fans who got here, one way and another, to cheer them on to success. Mark Hughes and Micah Richards both seemed pleased and let's hope the second leg is a bit more straightforward. What a contrast my trip to Cyprus has been from the venture to the Faroes - but one thing I find wherever I go is the friendliness of the people.
