The video sees many of Lowry’s paintings and figures woven into the scenes of a matchstick Oasis wandering around Manchester and Salford. There’s references to the likes of Lowry’s Britain At Play, Daisy Nook Fair, Man Lying On A Wall and Going To The Match - which is cheekily changed from being Burden Park to the Gallagher’s beloved Maine Road. The inclusion of Manchester City isn’t the only thing that makes a nod to Oasis though. The lads also take a walk past a Lowry-ised Johnny Roadhouse Music and Sifters record shop.

And The Masterplan isn’t the only Oasis track getting a new video for the EP. That other b-side classic, Acquiesce, has also been given a new look. It’s not animation this time though. Instead, the band are replaced by the brilliantly named Oasia, a Japanese covers band, shot on location in London and Japan. It was directed by Robert Hales, who recently won an MTV Music Award this year for Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy.
