In a statement, the band said that as a result of the programme’s producers seeing them at a recent low-key show with The Rakes, they got offered a slot on the last show of the present series, an offer that they were "hugely honoured and thrilled" to have received. When they discovered the date of filming clashed with their Academy 3 show, they were "torn between what to do, not wanting to let anyone down. "However, we have just found out that it is possible to reschedule the Manchester gig to just a couple of weeks later; huge apologies again to anyone let down by this, or sadly no longer able to attend." There is a plus side to the reshuffle though, as the band will be handing out signed goodies to everyone at the showand though they can’t afford to buy everyone a drink, they do promise to get band member The House of Lords to "do some breakdancing at long last." For anyone who can’t make the new date, there will be refunds available at the point of purchase. The Young Knives play the Academy 3 on Thursday 22 June. |
