Sarah works as a switchboard operator at Withington Community Hospital and, as she explains, her job's far more involved than just twiddling knobs and pressing buttons!
Sarah says that her work on the switchboard is quite involved, "It's not only answering calls, it's being responsible for a cardiac phone.
"If there was to an arrest or emergency in the hospital we have to follow strict procedures.
"We had an emergency only last week and it is a life or death situation and we have to respond extremely quickly."
Sarah says that they get all sorts of people calling the hospital, "Most people are decent, nice people just wanting to be put through to whoever they want to speak to. Some can be very challenging and, some can be very abusive."
