Sinead's enthusiasm for music has led to her taking on an extra job. "I started DJing about two years ago", she says. "I knew it was something that I really wanted to do, so I just bought a set of decks and a mixer and thought that it was the only way I was going to learn." Within a year Sinead had her first gig at The Music Box and now has a regular Sunday night spot in the Gay Village. Sinead's work at the PR company means that she spends her daytime promoting bands on TV and radio stations. "Some of the bands I'm working with at the moment are Moby, Depeche Mode, Inspiral Carpets and Manchester band I Am Kloot." "I've always been passionate about music. When I was growing up my brothers and sisters got me into bands like The Smiths and Stevie Nicks and one of my brothers was really into Depeche Mode, so he loves the fact that I work with them now." "The best thing about my job and DJing is that I get to work with music all the time which is what I've always wanted to do. It's like my dream job really." |
