In addition to helping to promote the Games through a series of information forums in the North West, sponsorship is being specifically focused on helping communities in the region, nationally and internationally to be involved with the experience of the Games.

Bruntwood are Manchester 2002 Official Property Partners, who launched the 'Painting Manchester Yellow' Campaign which involved branding 27 buildings around Manchester. Bruntwood also provided a head quarters building named Commonwealth House where M2002 will be based.

Addleshaw Booth & Co was appointed Official Lawyers to the Games in 1998. The company advises the organisers of the Games on a wide range of legal matters, including broadcasting rights, sponsorship, merchandising contracts and arrangements for the opening and closing ceremonies.
