PresentersYou are in: Look North > Presenters > Hannah Bayman Hannah BaymanOne of my earliest memories is waiting with my mother in a snowy field to get water from a pump, because the cold had cut off the mains supply to our Pennines village. Hannah Bayman More than 20 years on, floods have become the weather story rather than freezing cold winters. But I am still fascinated by the weather and how it affects our lives. My family moved around the North East while I was growing up, living in Northumberland, County Durham and Newcastle. Later we moved to London, where I studied journalism at University. I got my first job at the 91Èȱ¬ in 2002 and have since worked as a reporter all over the country. My last job before coming back 'up North' was in the beautiful Channel Islands, where I was a one-person film crew, shooting, editing and presenting my own news report every day. Hannah reporting live from flooded Keswick As well as filmmaking, I enjoy anything that takes me outdoors, including netball, running and stargazing. Most showbiz moment? Borrowing Carol Kirkwood’s mug to drink my tea while training at the 91Èȱ¬ Weather Centre. Best bit of the job? The buzz of live television. That and going through the masses of weather pictures that our viewers send in – even on the wettest days stunning shots arrive that lift your spirits. And of course, there aren’t many jobs where you can tell people you are paid to keep your head in the clouds. last updated: 27/11/2009 at 10:47 SEE ALSOYou are in: Look North > Presenters > Hannah Bayman TOP STORIESPlease note: We are aware of problems accessing some of our programmes' formats - we are working to resolve this ASAP.
