This a terrible thing and to think this has hit our country is horrible. With our Olympics coming in a few years, how can we be able to say we are safe?

Meredith
I used to live in london and and i was visiting there over summer break and i heard this huge crash. it was very frightening. im sorry to all who died.

Jeyla
It was so scary.. We had classes at St. Giles College (London Central) when heard the explosion.. We couldn't imagine that all those was happening.. How people can be so cruel? This is unfair. Why should innocent people die? How did they deserve it? ...

Brenda Starnes
I can not believe someone would attack our great city like that. All we try to do is live in peace and harmony. Our utopia has been deflated and we are back to the real world of terrorism and violence.

james
my heart goes out to all those who have been affected. these cowards should be hung, drawn and QUARTERED!

aisha ali (croydon)
I am a Muslim and I here today speak out to London and say that I am ashamed of those Muslims who caused distruction on the 7th of July. How can people be so cruel? I have one thing to say to those bombers, you are not just killing people, you are killing your own kind too. And one message to those who were affected on the 7th of July, I, and everyone else, is thinking of you, may you find hope in the future.

When we first heard of the bombings we were utterly shocked that something like this would happen. We have family in London and were concerned greatly. We were scanning through the television tryin to get the best broadcast. London is a great city and with these bombings, londoners shall come closer together as one and not be in fear. For all the victims of these bombings, my prayers are to you and you family. As hours go by and the worl keeps on turning, we shall all look forward to the future. Thank You

Janliz
Everyone accepts that the bombings are horrific and that the perpetrators are thugs and bullies. Whilst we are a democracy does anyone feel as I do that by publishing certain facts like fall in tube passengers, not enough police to deal with other crimes etc is playing into their hands? I would like to praise the young man on the news, speaking from his hospital bed, having lost his lower leg, for his courage and dignity in front of the camera - he does more against the plotters that any hate attacks.

Carol in Canada
We Canadians were utterly horrified by the London terrorist bombings. As we watched our television screens hopeful for survivors, we prayed for the injured and for families who had lost their loved ones. We were no less fearful for you two weeks later when un-detonated bombs were placed in your public transit by zealots. Londoners, your greatness is marked by your courage and faith as an example to the free world and a credit to the future and history of your country. May the spirit of goodness bless you all. To those of the terrorist ideology who have been told by your leaders that you will be rewarded in heaven - that God will laud you for taking away the lives of innocent others: you have been lied to. Why have you allowed anti-life, false prophets to pervert your minds, hearts and religious faiths? You will be despised and reviled by your surviving families and future generations. As for your places in "heaven?" Think again.

London attacks are just another example of the World鈥檚 current awful condition. Unfortunately, people have lost their minds. I鈥檝e tried to figure out an explanation for someone willing to kill some others he/she might have never seen before. I cannot really understand this mentality. In the name of Islam, some extremist Moslems grant themselves the right to kill others. Although I鈥檓 not a very religiously-educated Moslem, but I know that this is not accepted by all means; it鈥檚 quite obvious after all. Those extremists are doing nothing but deteriorating the image of Islam. I鈥檓 afraid they have accomplished their task successfully. Out of curiosity, I would like to question the main motive for such reckless acts. What do they get out of killing innocent civilians whose only fault was being British in our instance? I cannot really believe that some people have become that extremist and racist. Regardless of whatever they have in mind, this is extremely illogical and doesn鈥檛 make any sense at all. Do they see their deeds as some sort of taking revenge for the Moslems who are being killed everyday in some other parts of the world? Even if it鈥檚 so; but why kill innocents? If it goes like that, the world will be no more very soon then, I assure you. Hatred in those criminals鈥 hearts is too black. Violence feeds violence as it were. Let me view what鈥檚 going on from a rather primitive viewpoint. I shall give a simple example to simplify things even more. Let鈥檚 have A & B as two brothers and C & D as two other brothers. Now C kills A and runs away with his deed as C is too evil and influentially powerful as well. Well, is this a motive or an impulse for B to kill D then? Is it like tit for tat? This is exactly what鈥檚 going on nowadays. But people, we should put an end to this massacre. It鈥檚 high time now we forget about our little insignificant differences. Each one of us has the full right to believe in whatever makes sense to him/her. However, it鈥檚 not anyone鈥檚 right to start killing and terrifying others only because they are different. Here comes Edward Saeed鈥檚 notion of 鈥淭he Other鈥. Maybe it鈥檚 man鈥檚 nature to be extra cautious of something new that he hasn鈥檛 experienced dealing with before. Well, that鈥檚 quite understood. We have to be careful about new things that pop into our lives all of a sudden. But, we shouldn鈥檛 take a negative attitude from the very beginning. We shouldn鈥檛 build or create a stereotype because we have been told or warned about something or because we have had an unpleasant experience with a member of the group under study. My point is that we shouldn鈥檛 rush into prejudgments. Edward Saeed鈥檚 idea of 鈥淭he Other鈥 sounds so appealing to me simply because it makes a lot of sense especially nowadays where people have stuck to their pre-conceived ideas and have become unwilling to give them another shot as it were. The Other is different, thus the Other is bad! But why is the Other bad? Is it because we view ourselves as good? Well, this could be a good explanation as to why we tend to have those feelings of hatred towards the Other. I would advocate the fact that this is something that gets fed by our surrounding rather than what others may claim - that it comes by birth. I don鈥檛 think it comes by birth because I believe that man can accommodate and cope with any other creature living with him from the very beginning. Thus, it鈥檚 not part of our collective consciousness as it were. For instance, let a baby live with a pet at home, after a while, you鈥檒l realize that the baby and the pet have developed a wonderful relation based on mutual love and care, although the pet is something extremely different, it鈥檚 a different species in the first place! Thus, from our 鈥渕ature鈥 viewpoint, we can consider the pet as an 鈥淥ther鈥. Well, if hatred and fear of the 鈥淥ther鈥 don not come by birth, how do they come into being then? Who feeds them and lets them grow to the extent that makes us create stereotypes? I鈥檓 afraid it鈥檚 the surrounding! It鈥檚 the upbringing that鈥檚 based on sick old notions. Frankly speaking,

John Carson City, Nevada
Bless all of you brave Londoners. Keep the stiff upper lip. My Aunt and Uncle live in London, so I watch what's going on carefully. Be careful, we are thinging of you.

E.W
I highly commend you Londoners. You all are much better prepared and smarter than us Americans. You must keep vigilant about the shoot-to-kill policy and do not give in to being politically correct, it will get people killed. Here in America we are too concerned with being politically correct than to protect ourselves. Terrorist show no mercy, the only way to stop them is to show no mercy. They don't understand anything else. You are much stronger than we are, keep up the great work. My heart goes out to all of you.

Jason Woodhouse
We must stay together as a nation and fight. Immagration must be looked at and these people who live in london (UK) who feel that they must fight for another nation or religion should be deported along with family and friends who have the same beliefs as the bombers.

mustaffa abood
I think who done like this tragedy things he is not human and he is criminal man and he is cravenand i hope all the world live in peace far from the terrorizing

Barry, London
I would like to say that i wrote these words, i did not, but i will pass this on in the great words of this poem. You come to place your bags of hate On bus and train, you made us late Yet we'll be back again tomorrow We'll carry on despite our sorrow Your bags of hate caused some to die Yet we stride out strong with heads held high You'll never win, we will not bow You can't defeat us, you don't know how This London which we love with pride Is a town where scum like you can't hide Don't worry we will hunt you down Then Lock you up in name of the Crown We're London and we're many races Just look you'll see our stoic faces We all condemn your heinous act You will not win and that's a fact We'll mourn our dead and shed a tear But we will not bow to acts of fear You're out there somewhere all alone There's nowhere now you can call home Olympics ours, we've won the race Your timing then, a real disgrace Our strength you'll find remains unbowed We're London and we're very proud

Cathrine
I would just like to say that even though I do not live in London I still feel very connected because I have a great love for this place. I was having a sleepover with my friend and we just about to fall asleep when I was fliping through channels and I found the coverage on CNN. We watched the news for about 2 more hours and didn't go to sleep till about 3 am. Im still in shock and I check the news daily for new information on this prediciment.

SIMON EJIGBERERIMU NIGERIA
So very, very heartbroken for the citizens of London. You are in our thoughts and prayers. More than ever, I am looking forward to my upcoming visit.

Faisal , London
The bombers were from an ethnic minority group, I belong to the same ethnic group and I hereby declare that I have no problem in being searched or stopped to ask questions since I have nothing to hide and take whatever it takes to ensure security in my city London. May the force be with us

Benjamin Chueng

i feel sorry for the people caught up in the bombings and the guy from brazil but the shoot to kill has got to stay because we cant show these suicide bombers any mercy like they showed us none

John, London
Well done to the Police, MI5, SAS and the other agencies involved in the swift arrests of the suspected suicide bombers. I am sure this will minimise the risk of further attacks and it also reassures Londoners that all that can be done is being done.

Asad mahmood
I greatly condemend the bombing against the inocent london people, i am a muslim but the people who have done that and saying them self muslim is not the muslim because it is against the teachin gof islam to kill inocent people. I have a great sympathey for the decesed family of this disaster.

Shabbir
I believe that this kind of tragic atrocity can't be stopped in a single place or town on earth as it is a global and strictly political problem now a days which has absolutely no connection with any religion . The Holy Quran says about "Jesus" that he was made of "Soul of God" unlike other common human beings . Islam is closely connected to the other religions and these all are sent by one "God" . So , there is no conflict between the religions . London bombings , Sept the 11 , Afghan and Iraq war , 50 years old Palestine & Israel conflict , these are all 100% political and due to some of the political leaders' and country's contradictory selfish faulty foreign policies thousands of innocent people are beeing killed and have been suffering every where on earth . I believe that this problem can only be solved politically in a diplomatic way and of course globally . Otherwise , it can't be stopped . We can follow Swiss foreign policy "hurt no one and don't get hurt" !

Drez
The problem that the country faces is the illegal immigrants and people who come to the country to leech off of the benefits system. There are hard working people who come here illegally from countries like Ukraine only to earn money and save it, but the government seems to think this is a much bigger problem than work-evading religious people.

Paul ,Highbury
The peddlars of hate such as Bin Laden and all his cronies will end up in hell. God will be the ultimate judge. They are violent criminals, madmen that use religion as a foil to hide behind to attack western culture. They have no respect for any alternative way of life other than their own perverted one - these people have no remorse for their actions or logic to support their their actions, just blind hatred. It was a mistake to attack Iraq but the irony of it now is that it was the liberation of Iraq from a cruel Dictatator that has given them the opportunity to carry out their murderous attacks. Sadam would have just gone in and wiped out complete communities with any hint of insurrection and was resposnsible for the killing of tens if not hundreds of thousands of innocent muslims. The bombings of 9/11, Madrid and London were targetted at destroying freedom, democracy and tollerance of all religions and race. They will not succeed in destroying us and continuing to hold on to these ideals and way of life.

Adam
I have great respect for the British people and there attitude of racial equality. However stereo typing a whole ethnic group because of a few with criminal intention is very racial. This is discrimination and police have to be very prudent in making sure that there is sufficient evidence to support an arrest. Otherwise Londoners of all backgrounds should be aware that they might be next. The last thing we need to see is the unjust arrestment of innocent civilians; similar to the incident with the Brazilian citizen, which lead to the death of a Brazilian man. Londoners should agree that police brutality should stop, and proper civil liberty should be upheld.

saheeb (mumbai)
i am so sorry for all the people who lost their lives and their loved ones, hope these blasts stop.god bless the people of london.

Tanji, Texas
Our prayers and thoughts are with all Londeners....I think we should also pray for the people who are doing this ...that they may see the error of there ways.

Chris
Steve: I don't think the bombers themselves are cowards - what I do think they are is ridiculous gullible "mules". The people who put these half-wits up to it and keep their own heads down are most definitely cowards. I agree that none of them should be glamourised, and our strongest propaganda weapon against them is humour and derision.

maria
hope all these blasts stop soon.God bless all the people who have lost loved ones

Osman, Khalid (London, Ealing.)
It is lucid that these martyrs having been living for this day, which has created a lamentable prevalence in London. I furthermore believe that Muslims will now be stigmatized as a result of a mental defectiveness a few men labeled 鈥淚slamic Terrorist鈥 suffer. However, what many people act oblivious about is the so-called religious war in the Middle East; nevertheless, seldom is it mentioned in the daily newspapers like the Evening Standard, The Sun, and thus forth, to inform people of why this repugnance will persist among Muslims and Christians---it鈥檚 amazing that the amount of news that happens in the world every day always just exactly fits the newspaper---people ought to become open-minded and know the truth. Notwithstanding the truth hurts. It is "us" (Europeans and Americans)that the people in the Middle consider terrorist. On the other hand, we suspect them--Weird isn鈥檛 it? (Just if someone could ask these "terrorists" to compromise, it would be terrific.) Hopefully, this shall end soon.

EllE
I think it is terrible because People should just put things behind them .Everyone should support the Police to find everyone included .

steve
why call them terrorists they are cowards, call them that, don't give them some hyped up name that makes them feel special

Mohamed,Harris

Maribel Spain
I really am sorry about this.God bless people who has suffered terrorism or any way of violence.Lots of love from Spain

Pablo
I am sad for those who lost their lives in London, and for those who were injured. Tragic sudden death is the hardest on the ones who are still living. May they rest in peace, and may we find the ones responsible.

Anonymous U.S.A.
On July 19th, 2005, in the afternoon, I heard "London Bridges" played once by the ice-cream truck in Astoria (Queens) New York. I am an American and all my life here in America...I have never heard "London Bridges" being played by the ice-cream truck. I never I.D. a face, only the truck. I only thought that I shouldn't mention it as a watchful citizen. My deepest condolences to England and others around the world deeply suffering from these barbaric attacks.

VAS - I think you should be put away in a mental hospital. It people like you who think like you that causes all this pain to the inconcents. From NYC to London to Spain to the World my heart, prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Debrakay Dypold,
Two minutes of silent meditation for your tragedy was given by the Thursday afternoon youth and adult volunteer interpreters and related staff at the Oregon Coast Aquarium,USA. It is only through peace in the world that peace can come to our hearts.

MICHELLE OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA USA
On 9-11 the USA experienced a terrible act of hate. As a Oklahoman living in Oklahoma City, USA I along with other Oklahomans had already experienced our very own terrorist attack on one of our federal buildings. The attack killed several people including children because the building had it's own day care center for children. Hate breeds hate and hate "is not" of God... "it is" of the Devil. Turn away from hate which is of the devil and embrace love which is of God. I often wonder along with the blood and tears of the victims and the loved ones of those lost how God himself must weep at mans ability for self destruction.

Sonja Ruparel
I am deeply shocked and saddened by the recent bomb exposions in London. I dont understand how people can have so much hatered for their fellow mindkind in there hearts. What I find even more disturbing is that these terrorists were born and grew up here in England which makes trying to make sense of the situation why this act was carried out all the more difficult to comprehend. God Bless all the innocents who lost their lives may the Lord be with there families and also with the innocent familys of the men that carried ou these attacks.

Suzie ( NL )
I am disgusted at what has happaned - no one has the right to kill anyone - in Israel , in Palestine, in London ! - Terrorists should be eliminated whatever religion they claim themselves to be -christian moslem or jew. Prayers are for ALL true believers and mankind -

paul singh, morley
briton will stand united and will defeat these nasty people who think they are doing wright by their religion! ISLAM IS SUPPOSED TO BE A PEACEFULL RELIGION!!!! and you narrow minded individuals are casting a bad light! stop these acts of terror there is no need!!!!!!!!!!!1 i am a london traveler and these acts will never stop me from treveling. london is STRONG and we will stand UNITED!!!!!!!!

colossom
Its clear from perpetual attacks all over the world from islamic fundamentalistic organisations that time is ripe for nation to frame stringent policies governing safety of their nation and citizens.

Yousaf Rahim
London Bombers' Motives Remain a Mystery so we can not say that this act is done by terrorists. theres might be any other thing which is responsible for this act.Im sorry for those who have lost their friends and family! Rest in peace and god bless them

Marijn Companjen, The Netherlands
Let us please remember it is everyones duty to brake the chain of hatred against any human being for any cause or idea, Their are a thousand reasons to love when their is just even a moment of negativaty evolving around us leaning and or aproving towards violance, because of one or a couple minds that have forgotten or sadly maybe never knew what being human is about. It is good to realise that we might be responsible in our own little ways for those circumstances so the best way to resolve this, is to love and live life uncondisionaly starting ofcourse with ourselfs. In rememberence of the victoms and their families and their los. So that this world will be a better place for our children when we leave.

Ollie
My brother skipped death! My brother was going to Russel square for a Head Masters course, when at Leicester square the first train was packed of people but he managed to get in, if he had caught the second train, i could of lost my brother. Im sorry for those who have lost their friends and family! Rest in peace and god bless

rebecca rayner
im 11, i think all of this is stupid peoples lifes are at risk in london.what is blair doing about it?nothing just starting war!!!!!! my heart goes out to everyone involved in the accident!!!!

Sean
It is fact that people do not seem to recognize horror until they experience it themselves. I am disgusted by the terrorist attacks againt England, Spain, and United States, however we should look around the world and see for ourselves the problem we are causing to other people/countries. The Palestinians don't have peace, the Iraqi's are going through the same situation on a daily basis. What makes us better? Why do we feel the lives of our children are more valueable than that of an Iraqi/Palestinian or anyone else for that matter. Please in the name of God, let us stop the killing. Really, we should make an effort, for the sake of our children, to make the world a better place. Money is said to be the root of all evil, well in this day, Oil, greed, power, hatred and it goes on... all can be added to that phrase. Let us give peace a chance.

Wolfram Kuss, Germany
I spend the 7th on the internet waiting for reports from my London internet friends and listening to the radio that reported almost non stop. It is dreadful that a few people can bring sorrow over so many people - direclty involved like wounded, dead, relatives and friends, those almost hit (a friend of mine was 2 minutes away from the first subway blast), those worrying about loved ones or friends, and those just reading about the harrowing events. The only way forward is to keep going and unspectacular , patient police work. I know you will keep a stiff upper lip! I am looking forward to be over in autumn.

Dan
My heart is bleeding for all Londoners after this cowardly act. All terorists are cowards. Period. You cannot blame GWBush or America for what is happening. If you are that simple minded you need to maybe pick up a book or two. How many times have we heard on this forum "if the USA just leaves Iraq then this will all stop"? Are you serious? Do you think the terrorists will then stop bombing innocent people? Never in a million years. These cowards are fanatics. They have no sense of a civilzed world. There is only one way to deal with these cowards and the USA,UK and its allies will prevail. And also, I think it is a little selfish to want the USA to just pick up and leave Iraq. Believe it or not, the civilized people of Iraq do want us there and would be left for dead. Who are the one's killing innocent people in Iraq? Just yesterday there was a car bomb that was detonated in a group of children. Is that the USA fault. The only way to win this war on terror is to pick a side. You are either with the good guys or the bad guys. The line is clearly drawn. We in the USA support Britons and know they will pull through just fine. They are not cowardly. Remember, to win this war on terror we need to stick together and be vigalent. And if America could ever fight a damn war without it's hands behind its back, then maybe this thing would be over by now. We love you London:)

E.ahmed ( The Netherlands)
You know what?!?!?!? I am confused, angry, sad, dishearten and my list can goes on. I hear myself apologising for the deeds of some murders and most of all taking a clear stand from the horror that they have committed. But then I hear people saying why us, looking all too surprised.. Why not U, why not me, why not London, why not USA??? it is happening in the rest of the world aint it??. Look around you .. dont you think people in Iraq ask themselves that question frequently? People!! there is a reason why the world is around. what goes around comes around. let us not be blinded by what these terrorists are doing but what their purposes are. AND the way I see it , they want to create hatred and distraction within the multicultural western world. I will conclude my message by saying that I am so proud of the Londoners for how they handled the situation. My prayers goes out to all those victims. Peace :-)

Zahra
Israel is not the only place where this is a normal everyday occurance. In Iraq 3-4 bombings a day is the average. In Palestine it's not suicide bombers that you fear but the state-legitimised Israeli soldiers who can shoot you at will. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. I agree that nothing can validate these acts - they are absolutely despicable. But it is only when we start to give equal value to all life, western or eastern, muslim or jew, white or black, and treat all killing of innocent civilians, whether it be by militants or a nation state with equal condemnation, that we can start to move forward.

Sean
I would like to sympathise with all of those people who lost their lives and where injured, and to their families my sencere condolences. I hope and pray that there are no acts of violence against Muslims. Muslim people are a peace loving people. The individuals who misinterpret the Holy Quran, do it for their own misguided political views. As an Irishman living in Britain I know how worrying it can be that there could be reprisals against you due to the actions of individuals acting in your name. The English/British are a very tolerant, forgiving people and have a great spirit. They know that the bombers did not represent the the veiws of the majority of Muslims.

Nicholas, Athens, Greece
Terrorism, in any form or expression, is unacceptable and contempt by any society 鈥 modern or ancient - as the most barbaric way to express or resolve political or religious differences. Unfortunately, historically speaking, the western civilization receives back the trend set in the past. Now is the time to consolidate and try to discourage such actions to be repeated by trying to understand our neighbors. Thank God, religions that made it to our days, believe in justice and as WE are behind religions and its interpretations, WE should make sure that the people behind this and any such attack will pay for their monstrosities, not by retaliation- as it would perpetuate the trend- but by bringing them to justice.

Faisal Zafar
my Message is for Muslims, being a Muslim i should say that these kind of activites are against our peaceful religion, no where in the Quran Allah said that You kill non Muslims, So please Please all Muslims try to impress non-muslims with you acts not with these kind of terrorits activites....i pray for all the peoples who died in Blasts and pray to Allah to give sense to those non sense Muslims

Miranda
Nothing can validate these acts, but at the same time you have to be thankful that we live in a place where this is not an every day occurance. In Isreal people live with this fear on a daily basis. Its normal. But I find it hard to understand how killing can be normal. Maybe we can now sympathise better with these people, and understand how they feel when a bomb goes off and destroys everything they hold close, including their own feeling of security.

Donna Benjamin
And for all of the folks whose lives has been shattered, People experiencing, the emptiness, feeling the void, Or watching, waiting and praying for a loved one ... There are no words, no solace that one can give or say That will lessen the burden, or take the hurt and pain away But do not allow hate to creep in as your companion, As it will rob you of love, compassion and understanding. Stand tall, London, for love, equality, freedom, peace...

Sonya Rose, NYC, USA
Yes. I am a witness to this kind of horror and shame. I think that it is a cowardly thing to take innocent lives for foolish glory. There is no act of heroism here. My heart bleeds for all the lives who are lost, for their family and friends who are suffering...My deepest condolences.

luca Genoa Italy
I reached London the 7th 4 holiday from Genoa, Italy. Many things could be said, many emoctions could be felt, but I can say (from my Italian point of view)that Londiners have already won at least that first battle against terrorism, with their self control, their determination and stoicism. They gave a lesson of civil life to the world, which surely is the start point for teaching the most important values of a civil society.Though it's been a traumatic experience 4 me, I've been proud to have been in London the 7th and to have shared the emoctions with you. And I trust terrorism will be fight successfully in the future.Londiners people have already won by their reaction

Aguante pe帽arol
i am terribly shocked by what happened in london on 7/7. london is a great united community which will not be divided even by these cowardly attacks, and thats why we desserved to host the 2012 olympics. our thoughts and love are with all those who died or suffered due to the attacks. May there be peace in the world, and may all those who are willing to take their lives in order to destroy the lives of a multitude think before they act. vamos uruguay carajo.

S
I strongly sympathise with the people who died as they had families and friends who cared for them. At the other point I see this as a revenge of what is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan while there are 1000's of innocent being killed and raped and there is no one to sympathise and all america can say is sorry. Gautenamo is one of the crucial example for muslims to drive crazy and I'm surprised that yet nobody even thinks about them? I'm muslim and strongly condemn these attacks but one way or another Britain is responsible for it too!!!

Gail
I am an American and was visiting London with my husband for the first time. We were stepping on the tube at Victoria station when the bombings occured. It brought back all those horrible feelings from 9/11, and my respect for the British increased when I saw the determination and resolve on their faces. I will never understand such hatred and lack of respect for life. People just want to live their lives in peace. How do you fight against people who think this type of martyrdom will get them into heaven? To Stacie-Marie who lost her friend my heart goes out to you.

Nahida
My condolence to those who have been victim to this attack. My paryer and sympathy for you. At the same time my hatful disapproval to these extremist who brought nothing but the shame for themselves.

jordan booth
i think its horrible. all the children and the babies that died or could of died in that outbirst. if i were in charge i would do all i could to help london. thanks for reading my opinion. xxxx

Ibrahim Rajul Hussain
my name is rajul hussain i am aged 14 and i am deeply concernd about the allagations made about ''islamic terroist'' if any wear in the world a bomb detenates and kills a lot of people, all the blame comes to the muslims how do you no that the bombbers werent black or white, and i am deeply concernd about all the mosqes that have been vandlised and i dont feel safe when i walk out of my house and i ain't sure that i wornt get attacked around the couner and i am worried that when my dad he is old and might get attacked on the way to the mosqe and when he gose out shopping allready i have been verbly attacked by a group of white teenagers and the media are not hellping us muslims citizens in the united kingdom!!! ibrahim rajul hussain aged 14

Robert
i does sad me the loss of any life in britain but to me it is not the loss of life that is really important here it is the principle of the matter, the fact they attacked oiur country and the fact they choose to attack our capital, retribution is required for this attack the terroists must be crushed,it does not matter that few died compared to september the 11th we will have to crush them violently

I live in westminster literally next door to the department of trade and industry, i awoke on thursday to hear a helicopter chopper hovering very loudly above my bedroom as well as sirens continuolusly sounding, my friend phone and said "where are you, please tell me your at home", i said "yeah why"...."haven't you seen the news....around 3 i think they started issuing warnings about staying away from victoria, i really freaked out then cos i live in victoria....I'm a very sensative person and this really has effected me as i know it has many more....it's so sad that we have a beautiful planet, filled enough wealth and abbundance for all if shared equally....the rich choose to keep the poor below, there are many greedy, nasty cruel people in this world and it makes me sad.....them poor people suffering....at the end of the day it comes down to religion....there are some good people in this world...and trying to be the nicest person you can be is what will change the world....my luv goes out to the victims and their familys....there isn't enough luv in the world so here's mine!!!! :)

My heart goes out to all Londoners. I visited Lonon last March and just love the city and the people. I live not far from the World Trade Center in NY and know the sadness and shock that enveloped us when we were attacked -- How do we stop this?

Anon...
I was distraught to hear then news about the bombs. Those terrorists will not weaken anyone, but make us stronger, this will just make us want to get the culprits even MORE! My heart goes out to all those involved in the incident those injured and those who lot their lives, everyone please stay positive about catching the people who done/organised this tragic event. The emergency services were fantastic and i look up to you sooo much, thank you for helping everyone!!

Kira / USA
Our sympathy and prayers go out to all Londoners. We understand your grief and pain. Stay strong and do not fear! We stand with you in denouncing the evil that threatens us. May you find peace again.

I think that it is a disgrace that terrorists have attacked london. There is no need and all the innocent people that have suffered for this will always be remembered. Great sadness fills my heart when human beings attack others for no reason. I think that the people who are responsible for this sould be killed also, now i know that you should never step down to their pitiful level but they deseve the worse.(Even though killing them is not the worst). They don't deserve to live after what they have done or even planned. JUSTICE MUST DONE!!!!

I have been in London for one and a half years and I have returned a few months back. I am so attached to this city that when I heard the news of the bombings I broke out and could not stop my tears. This city of tolerance and innocent people was hit by the terrorists who do not have any faith or religion at all, because, every religion loves humanity and hates crime and terror. I offer my deep condolences to those families who have lost their loved ones in these attacks . I hope these culprits are soon brought to book.

Bob and Maureen Chandler,Australia
To the people of London we wont to let you know our thoughts are with you at this terable time,Our deepest sympathy goes to the people who have lost loved one's, To those injured our wishes for a speedy recovery. To all the rescue teams you have, and are still doing brilliant work,What a shame that in this world we have such terrable people, who wont to hurt innocent people, To our fellow london country men, we know you will never let these hatefull terrorist Beat you when they do catch them, put these vermin in the street and let the people hand out there punishment. Michelle Power, Australia
To the people of England I want to let you all know we are all thinking of you.We are watching tonight here in Australia with great saddnes in our hearts and pride for those working tirelessly to rescue the injured on this day.It is a travesty that people must do things so horrific to others and that the innocent must suffer. To you all that are injured and to those that have lost a loved one we want to let you know that you are in our thoughts and our prays here in Australia.God bless you all.

May God be with the families and friens of the victims... and give them the strength and courage to rise above the atrocity.. and live their lives peacefully..

Joanna - Vas is right this is the price England is paying for being behind the US in a sensless war in a country we don't belong. The people that have died are paying the price that GWBush has put on our heads for getting involved with him!

鈥淲e shall not be ruled by terror.鈥 Our hearts go out to the many victims who have suffered so sadly at the hands of evil men. A deep sorrow in these days is felt by all: Christians, Muslims, Jews, and others, all feel this pain. And as Shakespeare said in Hamlet, 鈥淲hen sorrows come, they come not single spies, But in battalions.鈥 It certainly feels as if an army of attacks has hit us Londoners this week. When I heard what had happened I felt sick, and was simply left speechless. The world just stopped. Then, frantically, I started phoning friends and colleagues to see if they where ok, it was heart-wrenching to say the least as the news of fatalities increased. I have felt violated, attacked and outraged that my city, my capital, London, has suffered so dearly. Like many thousands of other Muslims, I too was born and brought up in London; this is my home, always has been and always will be. It is time for us all to stand tall in these days of confusion, and not let the Terrorist divide us. From sorrow and grief, it is certain that anger and revenge will grow within many of us. It will be at this time that the proof and testing ground will emerge as to whether the 鈥淭errorist鈥 failed or succeeded in dividing and alienating our diverse multicultural London. The 'easy road' would be to blame an entire religious group or extremists, so bringing heavier suspicion over minority groups, as we spin further into the terrorists鈥 web of deceit. A friend commented last night, 鈥渁 mugger or a burglar, or a murder are NOT described by their religious belief but by their wrong actions. So it would seem strange to say a Christian Murderer, or Hindu Burglar committed a crime, it is the action that is condemned". Wise words, I thought. These atrocious acts are disgraceful and cowardly. Should someone claim that their ideology (be it religious or otherwise) is to commit these crimes, then it is a lost human being with a deluded state of mind who has acted in this evil manner. The questions have already begun over whether this was retaliation against Western forces in Middle East. We can certainly agree that our foreign policies have not helped in stabilising or reducing the risk of greater attacks. The bigger picture will really need to be digested if we are truly looking for real answers to the turbulent world we live in today. To be honest, I feel there is no reason to remind people how peaceful Islam and its doctrines are, as I think the majority are well aware of the great historical contribution that it has made to Western civilisation. Only the bigots and extremists within our society will seek to try to capitalise from these sad events. They are known to us all. We don鈥歵 know who was behind this heinous act, and so we await the results of the investigation. I was quite disappointed with Tony Blair鈥歴 comments linking the whole atrocity to Muslims. As a Prime Minister, I expected a more balanced statement from him; the Police investigators are saying themselves that they don鈥歵 know who did this. It is these kinds of irresponsible comments that only add to the fuel of ignorant people and bigots to take the law into their own hands. I personally found the comments of Ken Livingstone (London Mayor) and Brian Paddick (DAC) balanced, inspiring and hopeful. Distinguishing Islam from terrorism as two separate entities that are unrelated. May God bless them both for their well-measured thoughts and correct understanding of my religion. We must be clear that a wrong action is a wrong action, be it committed by a person of faith or of no faith, whether it is the 鈥淲est鈥 or an 鈥渋nsurgent group鈥. The discussions around the London bombing should be focused entirely on the criminal acts themselves, and not point fingers at a largely peaceful and well-integrated Muslim community of London and, wider still, the UK. The hard road will be to trust each other, and to search for the Truth, whatever that may be, and to let the rule of law guide us in bringing to justice the perpetrators of this sickly act. If we di

Europe in general better wake up. These terrorists hate the free world. We accept those that have different faiths, they hate women, they hate gays, etc., everything that we tolerate. It has nothing to do with political policies, President Bush etc. I wish those that protest loudly about America and the free world would put their energies into the real problem. The "kooks" who hate the free world! This whole problem that we're facing now reminds me of how Europe reacted initially to the Nazi threat. They did nothing (nor did America) and we had to face a real monster.

Donna
I have family in the U.K, I just want you to know in America our hearts break for your loss and that fear that we can sadly say we understand. We stand together in hopes of fighting these cowards! You have been our greatest Ally, know that we stand with you!!

I never thought the bombings would ever be somewhere close to my home .I didnt't think something like this would ever happen here i used to think people who did this had a limit ...obviously not.

Dave - Boston, Massachusetts, USA
My sincere condolences to the vicitims of this horrific tragedy, may you hunt down and punish those who caused this pain.

Jane, England
I am sickened by the deaths of innocent people everywhere in the world- London, Baghdad, who cares which country- we are all human beings with a right to life. I don't understand those who see a moral distinction between 'terrorist' killers and the murder of innocents sanctioned by my own government and that of the US. Many British people did not want their country to go to war with America in Iraq. They were ignored. Tony Blair took us to war but he does not suffer the consequences, he has not lost his family- instead ordinary people from London and around the world were killed last Thursday and leave behind grieving families. It disgusts me. Thank you to all the people around the world who have expressed their support in this awful time. I only ask you not to forget the bereaved mothers, fathers, children and friends of the equally innocent people killed by my government in Iraq.

Susan - America
I am coming to London for the first time in September. These cowards cannot deter me. I dealt with them on 9/11 since I live about 1 hour from NYC. What they don't understand is twofold: 1) that they are hitting innocent people who have nothing to do with their political agenda 2) that we will not give in to their tacts. I would love to throw GWBush their way as one does a bone to a dog but it's not in my power. All I can do is let you (Londoners) know that my prayers are with you and we can empathize with your loss.

Manny - Cape Town
I was in London many years ago and I felt absolutely safe there. I'm shocked over what happened. My thoughts are with the people of the UK, the injured and the families of the deceased. Never give in to this barbaric intimidation.

B T MORADIA Rajkot-India
How horrible those people must be to perpetrate such inhuman acts of cruelty! May we emerge stronger and punish the guilty.

Joanna
Vas.. You are a compleate **** what do you mean this is the price london paid?! have you any idea what the victim's family's are going through?! I think the government should deport all who want to hurt us. Preferably to America where they can face execution! My heart goes out to all those who have lost their lives in such a horrible attack...

stacey-marie
I was there in the London tube, i heard a huge bang, a load of screams as the train filled with dark black smoke. Everyone was trying to get out, smashing the windows and knocking the doors down. most of us got out but my friend was killed. I hope those that are missing turn up safe. And i give my heart to those who have lost members of their families.

Deric - Paris
I'm only half English but on 7/7 I felt totally londonner. I lived there for two years and admired the multi culturalism and openmind of its inhabitants. It's a city of true freedom of expression and even if most of us are just passing by there everyone can feel at home. All my thoughts go to all of you and I wish more than anything that you keep your wonderful values without conceding to the fear of terrorism.

I arrived at Euston at 8.20pm this morning. Trying to decide which service to use to get to Holborn, I went in search of a bus, they were there but not moving owing to congestion of traffic (which I understood) went in search of a tube, large crowd outside tube entrance, then I thought I would get a taxi, very long queue. I then rang the office, sat and had a coffee until the crows had dispersed. I then took the northern line to Tottenham court road and got off of the underground(did not take the central line as my asthma was starting to kick off) I then decided to wait for a bus, traffic grid locked......our driver on the number 8 said that the traffic lights were out. Nothing we could do but wait. At least I could go to work..... My point is: as the police etc are trying their best to sort out the effects from last Thursday, wouldn't it have been a good idea to restrict personal cars etc from the hot spots to allow public transport to get people to work. Our driver was very good and kept us informed. BUT, according to the media all public transport was back to normal...... Not quite but I am sure we will get there. (I am walking back to Euston tonight - asthma and all)

it's been a long time coming. in a way it's a relief that it's finally happened, but at the same time, it's still a horrible thing to have happened. my condolences and sympathy go out to anyone who's suffered a loss through these bombings. keep praying, God will prevail.

i am in year 8 and we were going to the tower of london on thursday 7th july for a school trip. When we reached to tower, we were told that we had to go back to the coach and go back to school. We were getting talked to on the coach, the teacher paused for a second, and we heard a bang, obviously a bomb that had just gone off. We took four coaches and 2 were back at school and the other 2 were still in london. We couldnt get through to anyone on the other coaches because all of the telephone lines had broken down. We would all like to give our respect to all of the people that suffered from the terriblre incident

Minna, Finland
Londoners, your courage, resolve and resilience are an example to us all. Despite the bloodshed, I believe cruelty and ignorance will not prevail. And as much as I am sickened by the attacks themselves, I am sickened by comments looking to find a misguided 'rationale' for these attacks and in doing so, apportion blame to the victim. In pointing your finger at US/UK politicians, please do not forget to point your finger at the actual culprits, the perpetrators of these disgusting bombings. They were nothing more than a callous attack on civilians of all nationalities and religions. No justification exists.

Alex, Perth

I'm from the US but I was in London during the month of March and it was everything I had ever dreamt of, and more. Its history is stunning, the sights are magnificent and the people are so hospitable and warm. I always dreamt of living in London, and my March holiday has given me every reason to make this dream come to fruition. Though I am deeply saddened by the events that have taken place, I know London and its people will NOT be changed for the worse. My admiration goes out to the entire city of London for the impressive way everything was handled. My most sincere condolences go out to those who have lost relatives and/or friends, my prayers to those who are still searching for them.

I was unbelievably lucky. I got off the tube which pulled into Edgware Road Station at 8:47. Now I know that had I taken one tube later, I might not be here now. Still, I took the tube and bus into work yesterday and I won't give these idiots the power of my thoughts by wasting one more second of my time being afraid of cowards like them.

I am deeply, deeply saddened by the loss of life and those whose lives are forever changed by the bomb blasts. I love London, it's one of my favorite cities in the world. I've been listening to the 91热爆 coverage -- I listen to 91热爆 radio everyday to keep current on world events -- and I've heard so many comments about carrying on as if all were okay. What I want to say from the bottom of my breaking heart, is it's not okay for millions of people in our world. It's not okay for the Palestinians. It's not okay for the people in Iraq. Their lives, their way of life, their families have been torn about as a result of the slow insidious and also tortuous violence Western developed countries inflict and have been inflicting on other cultures of the world for generations. What I would love to hear from one Londoner, and I know how many of you protested against the war in Iraq -- I would love to hear one of you have the courage to decry these attacks in your beautiful city at the same time you suggest that it isn't possible to go on -- business as usual -- when the global economic empire -- those G8 guys included -- continue to assault the rest of the world with unfathomable cultural violence. Where is the courage to accept the awful truth? We Westerners are directly responsible for these acts of terrorism. Until and unless we are willing to change our ways and our acceptance of the unbridled greed of the Haliburtons of this world, the average working man and woman will not and should not be safe because we are the only ones who have the power to make the madness stop. That's the message of these attacks. Wake up and make the madness stop. Now, I do not condone violence in any form, but we can't afford to go on as usual. To do the same thing again and again while expecting a different result is one definition of insanity. We all know that the war in Iraq was launched on lies, misinformation and maniuplated information. My heart is with every families of those who lost their lives and those who have been irreparably injured, those who helped the dying and wounded and those who must do the awful grueling work of cleaning up the "mess". Wake up, Londoners. It's time to hit the streets again demanding an end to all the madness.

Can I just take a moment to say that we are living in a very dangerous age. For people to kill or injure innocent people in the name of a religion is barbaric, and isn't welcome in this day and age, these people aren't welcome in any society and the only place they are welcome is hell, where they will rot and burn. I was in the carriage next to the one that blew up on at Kings Cross. I am physically ok but the tears wont stop, I still feel the smoke choking me. It seemed so long before anyone came to rescue us, but in the carraige everyone seemed calm but the fear on everyones face was evident. The smoke was so thick but the burning smell, blood and injuries was worse. Everymorning I get into the first carriage to Kensington from Wood Green, this morning I jumped into the first available one. I survived probably because I was seated and I quickly removed my jacket to cover my nose and mouth with it. I'm lucky to be alive to see my son again.

I went to work on the 259 to Tottenham, like evry day. At Finsbury Park I saw lots of people being evacuated from the Station. Thought there had been a power failure. Same at Seven Sisters. Only when I got to the office I understood what had happened. London has been my home for 10 years and this is the saddest I have felt - my heart is with the victims families. People are coping admirably and with great dignity. I am proud of being a Londoner, (even though not by birth)

So sorry for our English friends

My sister is living in London and I got a sms from her in the morning about some "explosion". I hadn't watched the news yet (here in Finland), so I didn't know anything about it. Later she sent sms telling it was a terrorist attack. This is touching me more deeply than WTC as it all happened so much closer. Now we all know we're not safe here in Europe. I hope the British soldiers would be pulled out from Iraq, I think this is the main reason for this terrible thing that happened. Wishing the strength to all those who lost someone dear in the attacks.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in London.

Arise! Arose!! Arisen!!! Londoners. Never say die until the bones are rotten. To the Terrorists, I say be quite and don't be silly. They are the famous Londoners, they never say die. You segmented and targeted the wrong area and the wrong people. Shame to you. If they(terrorists) kill 1000 people, 1000 people will emerge. (The symbol here is the porcupine, its is also the slogan for Ashantis in Ghana. Please, accept my heart felt condolence on this occasion. We are solidly behind you, they (terrorist) will fail at all cost. Once again, I say Londoners, hold the fort. God Bless. chao. NB: I'm a Ghanaian currently in Japan, Kobe, to be precise. God Bless You All.

Hello, I live in New York City and I feel so terrible about what happened to this wonderful city called London. I cried as this brought back some memories from 9/11. A day before the bombings I was on the net planning my future trip to London. I still plan to visit your wonderful city one day and I know that London will continue to attract many visitors around the world. My heart goes out to the victims and their families and to everyone else over there. I admire your culture and I pray that God keep you safe.

Jeremy Mull, Las Vegas, Nv
This tragedy has only made me want to be in London worse than I ever desired. I spend my days dreaming of being there, loving the things imported to my senses from the entire of your country. I am proud to be descendant from Britons! I know you'll find those bastards who did this. Love you mother England

Cindy (shanghai CHN)

God will teach them a lesson who brought such kind of shame to humanity. love and Prayers from your friends in Pakistan.

What's happening with you these days?

these terrorists don't belong to any religion. they think (as they are told) but they are not. Hell is the place they are after and no religion of the world can promise anyone heaven for killing innocent civilians. But the thought does gets to my mind, that what would have gone through the lives of thousands of civilians (and their families) in Iraq/Afghanistan, who were so called 'casualities of war' by US/UK army majors? Time to think...instead of being angry

chaudhry abdul sattar
i,m in china when i hear this news from bbc i can,t believe it.my thoughts and prayers are with londoners. God beless you;

I'm from Israel, and may be we are the most familiar people with terror, but also, after my trip to England, I learned to love England. Seeing the pictures of such a hit in this great city, I was quite shocked! I really hope that this great city and great country will rehabilitate as soon as posible, and continue to be such a great country and such a great city. I love You London, and England! be strong!!!

My greatfull thanks to all emergancy services, my heartfealt sorrow to all who lost loved ones. I found it very distressing to see the reports as they unfold. Lots of people have been very brave (as is the London Spirit!) but we do wish all the injured well and my greatest sympathy to those who are still looking...don't give up hope...and the rest of us, keep your eye's out to stop any more of this madness.

katy ,vicky

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in London, we shall fight on the Buses and on the streets, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island and our great City鈥檚, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the Underground, we shall fight on the runways, we shall fight in the planes and on the ferries, we shall never surrender. Whether we are attacked with rockets from planes or bunkers or from grenade launchers, whether you use nerve gases to poison us, or blow up our underground with bags left on them or blow yourselves up with us. Whether in history you have dropped bombs on our airfields and on our cities firing at our soldiers or taking us hostages we will never surrender. We will fight till the end you can never disrupt our way of our life. Even as you try you will never win; as we will get back to normal and survive in denying you what you wish. We will never surrender. I want the faceless terrorists who did this that london will never surrender to people who need to kill defenseless sevilians. Although i was not there i fell it is amazing the strength the people who were their, showed in the breakdown of their worlds. And i wish to salute the services that did such an amzing job to keep so many people calm and alive.

Anne, San Francisco
To our mates in London, our thoughts are with you. America stands with you, our most loyal of allies. We cannot ever give in to these scum. I am heartsick.

I've been planning a trip to London for several months. I'll see you Sunday.

P LANDON WRIGHT III SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA
The people of American send their hearts and prays to the great people of London. The British people are a caring and wonderful people who do not deserve such a vicious attack. If you notice you see very little sympathy from any member of the Islam religion. Are they that cowardly as to not speak up against the violence? Islam " the religion of peace" certainly does not really apply!

jorge landin USA
I visited London last year and I really enjoyed your country and especially the people of England, So I am deeply sadden at the events of yesterday.I still remember all the really nice people I met and hope they and their families are all O.K. My heart and prayers go out to all you people of London and as we say here in america " we got your back" These bastards won't win. God speed to all the brave people of London.

Sherry McGregor, Tennessee USA
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this tragic time. They will be found and they will be punished. From what I understand of the Muslim faith, TRUE muslims are as horrified at this slaughter of innocents as we are. These cowards will be caught and receive the punishment they so richly deserve. God Bless and Keep you all!!

Ernesto Mexico.
Just one to tell you, that no matter what country are we from, we do not acept this barbarian attacks, and the latinos , also share the feeling with our English Brothers...Good bless you.

As a New Yorker and frequent visitor to London, my heart goes out to the people of London. We understand.

Paula L S茫o Paulo/Brazil
I lived in London for 3 years, and I feel deeply touched by what happened. I always have felt that sooner or later this would happen. I took a flight from NY on the 9/9/2001, few days before the attack, and luckly I wasnt in London when the attacks happened, because my School (St.Giles College) was in Russel Sq. Its a bit ironic but we all knew it was about to happen anyway, we just didnt know when. I just hope that from now on, The London Undergroung, instead of freaking out about who paid the fare or whos travelling with an expired travelcard, they should start concearning more about the safety.

Yamila from Puerto Rico
Im so sorry for what happened. I can believed. I dont now why people make a living out of this... killing people....My prayers are you the people may God Give the courage to survive and to continue living

didi
As a New Yorker, after our experience with 9/11, I was consoled by a British older lady friend who noticed our sadness and the city's lack of spirit. She said that in England during World WarII, everyone chipped in and did not let the blitz get to them eventhough they were being bombed continuosly. Let the example of that brave generation guide you at this time. Know that you are present in every New Yorker's heart.

Katie
I am deeply upset to see the coverage and aftermath of the devastating London blasts. My heart goes out to the victims and families. I am eternally proud of all the emergency services and workers for what they have done for our country in the past 36 hours. You are our heroes and may we be forever grateful. London is in all our prayers. I may not be able to be there, but I am there in spirit!

Jesse Martinez from SA .TX
I'v visited london last year my prayers are with every family touched by this awful tragady. God Save The Queen!

Malika, the Netherlands
I left London one day before the terrible happened, I was shocked when I turned my TV on the next morning, friends started to call me and everybody was so scared. I couldn't realize what had happened. I was travelling from and to Russel Square every day. may god bless you Londoners! Holland stands behind you.

eric owusu boateng
i believe that these people who did these bombs are not part of any relgion as EVERY religion says that killing people is wrong and you will be punished so these ppl have a mental problem in which they love to see people gettin hurt. Also if Mr.Bush and Mr.Blair did not agree to go to war then 9/11 and the terroist attacks in London would not of happen because even know what has happened is extremly wrong and i detest these terroists greatly they want to get their revenge back for us and america going to war and killing innocent people there.

Sahar Masih
I was on the train when the bomb hit at Kings cross and what I have witnessed was something that I had never dreamt of. This has been my home for 23 years and to watch it crumble before my eyes was heartbreaking. Love going out to all those who perished and thos who survived with me.

Louise
It was never a case of "IF" but "WHEN" will it happen! If it had happened 2 weeks ago i would have lost my sister of 23 and my little nephew of 7 as they were going to Highbury to have a tour of Arsenal footie grounds! I am really proud of the police and every one because they were ready for it and have managed to save as many people as they possible can and still have! COME ON YOU ENGLISH DONT LET THIS GET US DOWN. WE CAN GET OVER THIS. WE WILL BE OK! xxx

Debby, Los Angeles
Londoners should feel proud for taking ownership of their beautiful city and for reminding the world of that fact. You share your city with all who come to embrace it yet in its moment of vulnerability, you stand behind it proudly and shine light into its sustaining presence in our world. I've made an annual London holiday for the past 3 years. Your steadfast position just makes me want to visit sooner. Keep London Strong!

Clive
Please say a huge thank you to the guys on the River Thames boats. They were marvellous in getting people back home to family and loved ones yesterday

Dan Pugh, Canada
On behalf of Canadians, we will always stand along side our British counterparts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you indefinitely. United we will stand against such acts of inhumanity! I admire the character and tenacity that is and will always be London.

Luke, Forest Hill
What is the best response London can give to those who use terror to elicit political or social change? As Mr Blair has so rightly said - we must continue our lives, demonstrating that terrorism will never lead to the changes that terrorists hope to evoke. But let us do more. Let us celebrate this great city which lived out the blitz, and will shrug this event off also. In the last week, London hosted the world's biggest ever concert for a most noble cause. London won the world's most fierce competition for the Olympics. In the next week, once transport returns to normal, let all Londoners and other people in the UK and Europe come to the city - to her parks, her museums, her galleries, her theatres, and her immortal landmarks. Let the city and her sights be filled with record numbers of people. Let the world see London more alive and proud and great than ever before. Let would-be terrorists see they can make no difference.

We need to help!
Seriously..the world has changed! We need to start helping by paying more attention to people around us and watching and reporting what they are doing. Business as usual will not stop these people. The public needs to keep there eyes open..its our only chance!

Leanne
hi i was really scared my mate was up in london and no one can get through to her not even now and love leanne i hope the people who done it gets a life time in jail

my mum was due to be travelling on the bus that was caught by the bomb. luckly she missed that bus and survived. but the thing that got me stuk, was how much abuse, innocent asian people are getting from the attack. although we may suspect them, doesn't meaen that we can take it into our own hands, let the right people sort the right people out. i'm 12 yrs out a know how it feels to lose a friend to rasicts abuse, just because we are heart doesn't mean that we can take it out on other people. what sort of example does that set? "A million words can't bring you back, i know because i've tried. A million tears can't bring you back, i know because i've cried"

Cheryl in Manhattan
Earlier this week I was looking at travel/tourism websites, contemplating a first trip ever to London. I still plan to come! We in New York City love you and admire your strength and resolve.

It was the July 7th around 6:30am local time in Mexico, when i woke up and turned on the tv, every thing was caos, i couldn麓t believe what i was watching, all chanels talking about the London incident, it was really shoking for me, cause i used to live there for 2 years, inmediatly i started thinking about all people that i met, with all this feelings of worry, anger and impotence, that麓s a shame this terrible things still happen specially with all this inocent people who had to pay for others mistakes. Not just me all Mexican people would like to express our deepest solidarity.

Asim Ali ,Lahore Pakistan
Those who are the enemy of humanity dont belong to any religion. Killing innocent peaople should be discouraged in any part of the world.. London is one of the best cities of world its very hostile for all part of the world, we strongly condemn these act of cowardness.. and we wish for the prosperity of London.

Ali
I am muslim and I am really grieved at what happened in London.I really am , I have family in London and everyone is so shocked there. I have just read these views and many of you think these are done by Muslims and I think you should not be thinking that way because in Islam the religion for Muslims, It is prohibited to kill innocent people even if a muslim country is at War. So doing something like this is extremely against our preachings of Islam. What worries me more is the fact that we dont even know if these were muslims and everyone has already started to believe it. We dont even have proof that 9/11 was done by Muslims. So please spread Msg of peace not of outrage and hatred for one particular sect.

Anna
I am a brazilian student in London but the feeling is I am english too. Nationalities can not make you better or worse, good or bad people. Diferences betwen people can not give a poor thinking for a man. Terrorism and war never will make diference betwen people but will exterminate the possibility for a better world. The English people dont deserve that, you are with your arms openned for wellcome and not to receive bombs! I wish better people running for your arms London!

Erick Carrera, Costa Rica
I'm Just one of the four million costaricans that we are sorry for what happened in London.I pray to God for peace in the world. God bless londoners.

There seemed a strong unity and love within the capital this morning as people recommenced their lives. No group of terrorisers shall break Londoner's bond and they will only strengthen our resolve. London will not allow the mentally sick cowards that carried out these attacks to dictate its people.

I don't believe this has just happened. I've been to all of these stations and when I see it on CNN, I was to cry. I remember how much I loved the place and now, everybody is sad. Tragic. God bless Londoners.

The Brazil loves the london people. STOP Terrorism, STOP die inocent people. They have to take The Brazil like esample; We have many diferent religion in our contry, and no problem with this; We have only one god, e nobody can kill in the name of god. Brazilian Kiss for all london people.

Heartfelt thoughts, prayers and love for all who are so innocently caught up in this travesty against humanity. There is no shame in fear, but let your vigilance for one another help alleviate your fears. We must ALL put aside our personal differences and stand together against the threats of terror no matter where or when it may try to appear. We can, ALL TOGETHER, make a difference!

Messages from around the world are so touching and I want to say thank you from all of us here in London at such an unnerving time. I was born and raised in London I'm a 'Londoner' through and through And you can't crush my love for her No matter what you do. You can close her shops and markets Stop her busses and her trains You can barricade her roads shut I will love her just the same. Your cruel murder and destruction Leaves me shocked and dismayed Today is full of thoughts and prayers But my love will never fade. I am proud to live in London And despite your vicious war There are some things you can't destroy Today, I love London even more.

My thoughts go out to all those who have been martyred on the altar of hate. I pray that they will be given the strenghth to carry on a normal life. These murderers are not people they are a disease and must be eradicated if the world is to live in peace. Congratulations to all the emergency services and those who helped in the aftermath. London has shown the world that it can cope in a crisis. We Brits will never allow ourselves to be cowed.

My deep condolances to the Londoners & hope they recover soon from this menace & fight it bravely. I pray to God for peace in the world. God bless londoners.

I was at Warren Street tube when we were told that the tube won't be stopping at Euston or Kings Cross. So I got off the tube to change lines in Warren street and (when the *WHOLE* London underground was shut down) we were told that due to an emergency we were ask to leave the station. I am angry with London underground announcements. Since then what we did is catch busses. We were lucky we did not have bombs in the buses. We were lucky. But why why why London underground did not tell us to leave the station due to the whole of London underground being closed down due to terrorist attack. If I have heard this I would not have jumped in to a bus. I would have avoided any public transport. London underground announcements are rubbish. Also I wanted to know how many policements were in duty in London yesterday. Did this make us more vulnerable?

Alan Redknap
Let's send a message of defiance and condolence. What about mass public support by wearing black t-shirts with the message LONDON PROUD and the Olympic Rings. People to wear them on a defined day at work, home etc in mass support?

07th July is a day we Londoners will never forget. my heart is with the familys that have lost loved ones. I know we all are trying to be strong, but it brings tears to my eyes when i think of the people who have lost their lives because of these cowards. I get the 94 bus from Sheppards bush to Lancaster gate, every morning. the atmosphere this morning was horrible, every one was looking at each other, all thinking the same thing... are we safe? I condemn those barbaric acts by terrorists to attack London or any other part of the world. Are they human being? Do they have family and friends? Can they sleep well with the soul of victims haunting around them? I am so sorry to hear this bad news. All my thoughts are with my home country.

we are with all of you in this time.

I saw the bus incident and the roof of the bus was thrown 3 metres into the air in the explosion. It sounded like a huge thud. People were caterpaulted out, and the on-lookers just stood in stunned silence before rushing to help. Some injuries were horrific, I just feel so sorry for all those involved in the injuries from this incident and may it never happen again, especially just after our good news on the Olympics.

Marianne Larsson, Sweden
Brave, beatiful and wonderful London! No evil cowards can defeat you. All civilized people will unite against those evil barbarians. We feel with you in your pain and sorrow and we will help you in every way we can. Our thoughts are with you. We will never forget.

I'm from London and live in Tokyo. I just wanted to pass my deep sympathy to all those families of the victims in todays terrible attacks. I have been watching the scenes on 91热爆 Asia and am so impressed by the emergency services and the calm collected reaction of the public. We pray to God that somehow these terrorists can be stopped. God Bless you and Be with you all.

I would like to see how Ken Livingston handles this in the coming weeks and going forward. He's forced everyone onto public transport with congestion charging etc. and look at the result-he's simply made us more vulnerable targets. This is what we get for backing him and using public transportation.... thanks

I lived in London last year (on a street off of Russell Square) and am heartbroken at the cruelty shown to this beautiful city. America is praying for you and stands by you. You are not alone! Here is a passage that I read on the night of 9/11: "The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for He knows their day is coming." Psalm 37:12-13

Jamie - New Zealand
chin up london, they will reap what they sow .... peace

Karen Wellen, New York City
I am so heartsick and sorry for my beautiful London. I live a mile from what was the World Trade Center and watched the towers collapse. All I can say is that it's hard to imagine that life will ever get back to "normal". It does. Just a different normal. Stay safe.

Aquiles, Mexico.
Every action has a consequence, it's time for all of us to act smarter, our prayers to the families in London.

sohaib hassan
its the saddest thing.People who call themselves "Muslims" and do these kind of filthy jobs are not "muslims" at all.It is written in Holy Quran that killing of one inncocent person is killing of humanity.my deep condolences to people of London

Zul Majdi - Malaysia
It is the time now for us to fight against massive terrorism like this!

Barbara Rice
We are so sorry. We love you. - Atlanta, Georgia, USA

I have found out over the internet about the horrible thing happened to the people of London. Please accept my deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of people who died and got injured on those trains and busses. I myself cannot even imagine how it must hurt to say to a beloved one good by in the morning on the way to work and then later find out that something like that happened to the person I love. I do not hate anybody, but I truly strat to hate terrorism and anybody who has anything to do with it. I think the whole world should put stop to this once and forever, no matter what the cost of doing so is.

Nasir Miyan
I am a Muslim and I was born in this country and I am so upset to see that we UK public have to go in to work and home. I am also upset to see on TV that over 30 of them have died and I am happy to see that the Police and the Ambulance members have got to the scene first.

Tom Salter
I am proud to say that I am a Londoner and will always walk with my head up high. If these fanatics think that I am going to cow and give in to these very sad and sadistic people, then they will have to think again. No way will I ever give up my freedom for them. Woe betide them if I ever catch one of them. There death will not come so quickly with me. I will make sure that they have to endure constant pain and torture for the rest of their live's. My thoughts and prayer'r go out to all the victims and families of this cowardly act, and also to the transport staff who carry us around our great city in the face of adversity from the unknown.

Diane H., Tucson, Arizona
Our prayers are with you. Those of us who have been touched by terrorism know that the best defense against it is our resolve to stick together and to remain strong and positive in our resolve. WE ARE WITH YOU!

wendy medcalf
i work in a busy secondary school. People do not realise the impact that things like this have on community relations within a school that need extremely careful handling.

Eva Suemegi
I am deeply concerned about London and about us all. As plenty of others I visit London as often as I can and I do not let anybody deprive me of the joy of being in London and travelling the tube. Terrorism is surely no way of solving problems, it creates new and terrible ones, it is the source of hatred and mistrust.

Dirk Van Der Walt, South Africa
Stand together ! Never ever give up!

Jerry - Los Angeles
As you stood with us on 9/11 we stand with you now and always. I'm so very sorry you had to go through this but in the end we will prevail over the extremist. Heart felt sorrow to all that lost their lives.

isma
what a day waking up with these news. Few moments after the shock I remembered I hava a very dear friend in London. I called her and I got her on the mobile phone , one of the lucky ones which made a different descision and went another way. My dear friend had seen some of the shocked people and was on the way to find her way home to the other side of the city. I pray for those who are in shock and which have left us on this sad day. May the Divine protect us and may there be Peace. My thoughts are in London ..

Maria - Barcelona
You are not alone. Our heart is with you.

Nigel, Washington DC
London is a city with 2,000 years' experience of enduring plights and cowardly attacks. And Londoners are the best people in the world. My heart, hopes and thoughts are with you. Always. x

Danielle - KS USA
This is a terrible day, my hearts and prayers to the families and friends that lost someone. This will be hard for a while but with this we will band together and survive this event. I hope and pray for a certain someone over there, that i am thinking of you and hope you are alright, miss you

Eric, London.
What a horrible world we live in. We should bring to justice the people who did this, but also hold accountable the ones who put us in a position where they knew this would happen to us eventually, aka Blair and Bush.

Mo from Harlow
I am appalled at the events of today. The biggest and scariest terrorist of all is George W. Bush. Speak to anyone from here to the continent, and they will tell you the same. It is time that he put his hands up and admitted that he has made the most enormous mistake that anyone in power could make, that is, to cause heartache and destruction to the civilised world through his own screwed up thoughts. Tony Blair must surely see that the majority of good British people cannot be wrong. Open your eyes, see what we all can see. DO SOMETHING POSITIVE.

Fernanda Fort, Argentina
Please stop war! please stop terrorist attacks! we are all in a same world. Why the war between human beings? we are brothers! Peace

Guillermo Sarmiento,Valencia, Venezuela
I and my family are very shocked and sorry about such a criminal and treacherous attack. We think it is unforgivable and that God, whatever His name is: Elohim, Alah, Buda, or else, can approve these crimes. No ideology, cause, or doctrine can be sustained on murders and terror. History has confirmed that. We express our condolences to Londoners.

Mauro Conselho Tutelar Betim.MGBrazil
Our prayers for all the terrorist attack victims. Some day, they'll realize that it's impossible to break the worlds unification

Hazel- Costa Rica
My thoughts and prayers to the people of England. May God bless you all and keep you. England is a strong nation and in time will heal. The whole world is with you.

Vivia, Hampshire
It was so intensely horrendous to be sitting in school, being told that there has been an explosion in London - 24 hours after I was there. It was so scary to hear the death toll rise dramatically from 2 people in the beginning to more than 30 dead and over 700 injured. It's sickening to think that whoever did it could bring so much distraught and destruction to London, and other people over the UK. Sickening.

Danielle Lawson, New York, US
As a living witness of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, my sympathies go out to all the residents of London. I visited London on six weeks ago, and must say this is one beautiful country. My God be with you.

Shawn- USA
love and prayers to all affected by the terroristic acts to your city. we feel your pain and do sympathize with you all

Sandie London
I was saddend by the tagic circumstances of this morning. But as a Londoner born and bred my heart filled with pride when I saw how we coped. We pulled together and sent a message to those terrorists that they will never break our will or resolve to carry on our lives as normal. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts

A Poem For London It鈥檚 sad to see so many lives lost, They made their point but at what cost? It鈥檚 sad to see a crying child, At a funeral, single-filed, With solemn candles sadly lit, It鈥檚 sad to feel the shockwaves hit, Of attacks so barbaric, it鈥檚 very true, It reached the hearts of me and you, For many people friends have gone, And from their graves their names have shone, As names of heroes, one and all, Innocent, who stood up tall, And as they lie there broken, alone, Never the chance, to one condone Terrorist鈥檚 actions, Their satisfactions, The terrorists who broke the silence, Of a country free from such violence, Now join together, sway along, To this sad and mournful song, For the terror these people provided, Proved the British are never divided, We can stand up we can sing, For such a terrible, terrible thing, It鈥檚 sad to see a child die, But her innocent spirit to heaven shall fly, And when she gets there she will tell, Of London鈥檚 blasted living hell, So now that heaven is on our side, Britain shall never, ever divide, And we shall stand proud, And we shall shout loud, And we shall unite, And we shall all fight, With not weapons but words, Which spread like wings of birds, As they can inspire, They warm souls like fire, Set hearts ablaze, And always amaze, For Britain may be bruised, And we have been abused, But we are not out yet, And on that you can bet, For we are a country so strong of links, That no terrorist can ever think, That they will succeed in getting through, They鈥檝e only scratched the surface. By Fiona Thornton, 14

To the people of London, what has happened today is unthinkable and cowardly. What these animals have done is evil. It saddens all of us; our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jeffrey Duly, Nashville
I have been listening to your coverage at the office all day and I must commend you for your work. I was in the UK on September 11, 2001 and in the weeks afterward. During that time I experienced the outpouring of concern and condolences of the British people and it touched me. I feel it necessary to express that same concern and condolences back to the people of Britain and specifically London in the wake of this brutal attack. Throughout your history you have certainly survived worse crises. With your resolve you will get through this as well.

Brian Moore, Pennsylvania
My sympathies go out today to the residents of London, my favorite city in the world, from an American who visits your great city as often as possible.

Carlos, Mexico
Our prayers for all the terrorist attack victims. Some day, they'll realize that it's impossible to break the worlds unification

I am here in Portland, Oregon listening to your station online. You are doing a great job keeping us informed.

I am a tube driver on the Piccadilly line, i was 3 trains behind the train which had the explosion the driver of which being a personal friend of mine who i have since spoken to and I would just like to take this opportunity to thank my collegues of London Underground for the proffesionalism and dedication shown during and after the terrible events of this morning and special praise goes out to all staff for the swift evacuation of trains, especially ones stuck in tunnels, all trains and stations being evacuated within 15 mins of the blast between Kings Cross and Russell Square, i have only contempt for the animals who could do such a thing to so many innocent people going about their daily buisness. Alan, Herts.

Paula Eck
I'm not sure if this is the best place to write this, however, I feel compelled to express how deeply sorry I am for the attacks suffered today. My heart goes out to all. Please know that all in America feel and understand your heartbreak. My hope is that the world's prayers and thoughts will touch you all.

Suzette Cochran-Lay
To the people of London and Great Britain: My condolences and prayers for healing and safety go out to you. We in America grieve with you and we hold you in our hearts. May God be with you all.

Just to let you know - I've been living out of London for 20 years now, here in C贸rdoba in the centre of Argentina, but I'm keeping you company listening to you through the Internet this evening while I work. Delighted to hear the traditional London spirit being maintained despite however badly the city is hit. I phoned my family and heard they are all well, so I am relieved personally, but I send my deepest sympathy to all those affected. We are with you even from so far away!

tim, backpacker Brazil
Tony Blair sided with Bush and set my home up for retaliation. Osama Bin Laden goes to London and tries to kill my Mum. We knew this would happen, feel sick.

Vanessa
Their will to destroy may be big, but our will to survive is bigger. We will not live in terror. We are london helding high our faces....

Nan and Mihir
Another heart of a great city of the world has been pierced and made to bleed. This is not a time for revenge or war, it is a time to realise what the world needs most right now- peace. All our love and prayers to London.

Oliver
Any justification for the use of terror as a 'weapon' is ludicrous. If a bully terrorizes a schoolyard, the teachers will find the cuplrit and expell them. The bully must quit hiding behind the rather convenient guise of oppression and realize that fundamentally they only harm their own cause and justify the steps and actions taken to deal with them. Deep down they are obvious cowards and even in a suicide-bomber scenario they only seek to avoid the consequences of their actions. Our hearts are with London on this day. Keep a stiff upper lip. Rest assured that this day shall not be forgotten.

alfredo-ecuador
i麓m so sorry for you dear english friends...do not let then win...fight for your children and future generations...fight with all your heart and love...

common people and especially people of arabic origin should do much more if this mindless blodshed is to be stopped. Goverments will never be able to do what only grassroots movements can.

I was born in London and although I now live in America I love the city and its people. God bless all of you. I'm so proud of London, today and always! America stands with you.

Darrel - Canada
We all feel horrible for those so drastically affected. But know this: equally barbaric retaliations will not work! Surely our accumulated wisdom will drive us to strike - at the root causes of strife in our world rather. Make Poverty History! Support the UN's Millennium Goals! THESE CANNOT BE MERELY SLOGANS.

Lisa, Cape Coral, FL
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, London. As we await another possibly devastating hurricane, we were reminded once again of 9/11. These animals must be STOPPED. We will never surrender to their tactics. Godspeed to the U.K.

My haert is with all those that died, were injured, have lost, and also those who were unfortunate enough to have witnessed the atrocities. This is yet another tragedy in a world overrun with hate.

Tracey, London
How ironic to be celebrating the 60th anniversery of VE/VJ day this week, and these cowards try to make us conform to their will. Britain will never conform to terrorists. We are a strong, determined nation and terrorists will not be allowed to prevail, be in here or anywhere in the world. God bless us all, my thoughts and prayers are with the victims and relatives of todays awful tradegy.

Kathleen - New Hampshire
Yesterday I was pleased to hear that London won the 2012 Olympics and to see the delight of the people of England. Today I am truly saddened and distraugt to hear of the tragedy that has happened in London. My prayers are with the dead and injured and all the victims of these dastardly deeds

Mar铆a Florencia
It's incredible such a mentality by these days...with all the amazing investigation and development to finish with Diseases...there are lots of excellent and warm-hearted people helping to those who suffer because of poverty, sadness and hunger. Why not to take good action and spend time in those things which make our soul to be 'cleaner' every day? We are all praying for you brothers!!

Laura, South Shields, England
Our thoughts and prayers are with those who were killed or injured and their families by this horrific incident. Those responsible will be caught. R.I.P

I still cannot believe what has happened. At present I am still at work as I am too scared to use the limited public transport.Luckily I'm getting a lift home. I feel blessed that I can do this as I am aware that others were not so lucky. I would like to praise all those who have participated in the rescue process and those who were unsung hero's. I would also like to express as a non- muslim my fears for the Muslim community at this time as I know that there were racist reprisals after 9/11 in which a number of my friends experienced. I would like to emphasise that our vibrant and diverse community should continue to strive against and challange xenophobics who I fear will use todays atrocities to justify their attitudes towards our fellow counterparts. Please do not let this happen as it will just let the terrorist win.

harvey
i hope everything is alleight

Toby O'Brien (Norwich, UK)
Do they expect to gain something from this. London was my birth place, I think these people are just sad cowards who have no life and only enjoy it when they bring misery apon others. I hope that the A Bomb gets dropped on them, that way life will go on! Peace. out.

Patsy - London
I was not in london when the chaos happened but I'm now back in the capital. These terrorists are downright cowards. Why not sacrifice just themselves or show their faces and accept the punishment if they feel what they are doing is so just. Totally sickens me!

Taylor, USA
I'm 12 and I just got back from the UK and Ireland not even two weeks ago. I was there on a trip with a group called People To People. What has happened today has affected me in so many ways, as it has others. I feel for anyone who has lost someone, and I am still waiting to hear from my friends (who have become family to me) who live in England, and I just hope that they and everyone they know is alright. I love the UK very much, and what has happened today is not what I wish to see in the world. I'm very upset that we have to live in a world that thinks fighting, and attacking, (ect.ect.) are the answers. I'm very sorry to the people that have lost anyone today, and just know that my thoughts rest on you today. Much love to everyone in the UK and throughout the world. xoxo

Charlotte - London
I am sitting waiting for my husband to come home, he is safe thank God, he was 10 min late for work it saved his life. My heart goes to all those families who's loved ones wont be coming back...God be with you.

My deepest sympathies go out to the families of those murdered today. To the injured I wish a speedy and full recovery. To the perpetrators I say this " we were expecting you, run as fast as you can because people are coming after you!" To London I'd like to say, carry on tomorrow as normal and dont alter your life one iota, for to do so would be to give ground to murderers. Making poverty history is still on the agenda!!!!!!!!

Irene Maguire
I heard about this dreadful thing just as I arrived at work in Uxbridge this morning, spent the day with the radio on and looking at the dreadful pictures on the web with two co workers. How the families of the people killed feel is my main concern as I know too well with a lovely daughter killed in a road accident. Nothing can explain the horror for the families, the loss, so un-neccessary, the fact that their lives are so unreasonably taken. My sympathy to all people whose lives will never, ever be the same.

Beryl McKeown
Condolences to the dead and injured. I am surprised it didn't happen sooner. Blair should not be surprised - this is a minor disaster compared to what happens on a daily basis in Iraq. Shame on our government for what they have done to make the world a more dangerous place.

The attack on London has been a shock to most people while i was on lunch people where laughing and smiling like nothing had happened which was upsetting like some people didnt care. lots of people have been injured and a few have been killed. i heard the explotion and the police sirens. there will be a contrast in the news this week today london the news was about us getting the olympics and tomorrow there will be news of this terrible attack on lifes of londoners

Neil Burnett
Thanks for keeping me in touch with what's happening back in my hometown. Your voices are a great comfort, believe me. God bless.

Charlotte (Chaz)
I was at school at the time (i am only 12) and everyone was crying and calling people on their phones. It was such a coinsidense once i had heard the story of their families after lunch. One of my friens aunties had been ten minuites late for the blasted bus, my other friends dad had got off at the wrong train stop, ten seconds later a blast happened. I am not normally religeous but, Dear God please help us at this time my heart goes out to all those injured and all those who have lost ones. Dear Lord please don't let there be another war. I am to scared. Surely these blasts should make us stronger, make us win. I love everyone upset today. This is a SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD day.

Selene
Despite being on a smaller scale, i can now identify with the fear and confusion that New Yorkers felt after 9/11. To see this happen to your city hits you hard.My heart goes out to all injured and families of the 33 people pronounced dead.

Peter Fosco Philadelphia, USA.
On behalf of my family and friends, I wish to convey our deepest sympathy to the wonderful people of London and the U.K. I feel as though our cities have a unique humanitarian bond as partners for Live Aid and Live 8. We were all very sad and angry to hear the news, but we know that your legendary perseverance will help you out of this difficult time. Take care.

Drew Johnson
Many of us here in America are listening to London 94.9 at the moment. Thank you so much for your service to the world community. What has happened in London is beyond words, but we pray and hope for you all. The attack is all over the news; the moment I awoke (around 1200 GMT), public radio alerted our family to the attacks. May peace be with you all tonight

Henry Ahlers
I am listening to your station on the internet, anxious to hear of any developments on today's situation. I am so sorry that this has happened to London. As I continue to listen those same feelings of illness I had on 9/11 grow in the pit of my stomach. It is such a shame that someone feels the need to commit these acts of violence. It proves nothing except that they can do this and in the end they only impress each other. I only wish that the true people of Islam would stand up and unite against these extremists and forbid them to use their god to cause senseless death and destruction. Henry Ahlers-USA Our thoughts and prayers and support are certainly with you all today.

David, Texas
I used to live in London, and hope to again. It will always be a beutiful city...no matter what. I know the people of Britain and I know they will endure and overcome. My condolences on your loss.

Selene
This was bound to happen inspite of the Iraq war. Utmost respect for the Emergency Services and deepest condolences to those families of the 33 people who've lost their lives.

Lisa (Londoner living in the US)
My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and their families. You shall overcome! We are a strong Nation.

Martin O'FLaherty
Very sorry: hope that all this madness (from all sides) stop soon. No more death.

Eline from Holland
This is absolutely shocking, I simply don't understand how people can be willing to hurt eachother this bad. I just can't stop thinking of the fear and grieve it must have brought to all those people involved, to their families and friends as well. I'm still waiting to receive good news from friends who live in London, and although I don't want to, I feel scared thinking of something like this happening in Amsterdam or so in the mean time. It's very selfish to think of your own relatives and situation immediately, I know, but one can't help I guess.. That's why I also want to let you people know how much this affected me and many other people here in Holland, and how much we want to support you in dealing with this horrible attacks. Take care.

Prashant
I dont know what they want to prove in this world. Everywhere they are trying to spread their evil. They will never succeed. I ask people to stand against these ill minded people and distroy them forever so that they would never ever be able to kill innocents.

Anon
My Thoughts are with the people who lost their lifes today. x

Mark,stockport
This is a very sad day that has brought much anger to me. I hope that for just one day these people that have done this disgusting act will suffer as much as the people of london

Shivkumar
My deepest condolances to the families, who lost their life. The Govt. should handle terrorists with iron-hand and have control on immigrants.

Adrian Collins - Ireland
Paryers will be said for all thoose who were killed. I will be thinking of all thoose who were affected. Cowards is the only word I can use to describe thoose who did it.

Rachel-USA
My thoughts and prayers go out to you. You never understand the horror and fear untill someone comes on your soil and takes over like that. We know your pain and know you will prevail like we have.

NL in New York
As a survivor of 9/11 my heart goes out to all of you in London. These terrorists are obviosly cowards. They do not fight our military they just kill innocent people. They should come out in the open not sneak around bombing people that cannot defend themselves. The terrorists are evil, vicious and hateful people that use a religion as an excuse for killing! London - be vigilent and strong!

Annon
I cant belive what i am seeing, this is so worthless, human lifes put at risk for what??? My heart and thought goes out to you london, Take care. x

Hannah-rose
This shouldnt happen in a world. People are insane. What is the world comeing to?

Dawn
I don't think anyone, anwhere should have to walk around their hometowns or cities where they have grown up, or watched children grow up in, in fear of their own death. What purpose does all of this terror pursue except fear, and all fear will create is anger. It's all going in circles. My deepest sympathies to those wounded, and to the families of the deceased.

Caroline
my friend lives in london i rang her straight away to make sure she was safe, thank god she was, but my hearts go out to all those not so lucky. :-(

Now we are in the presence of war. I ask if PEACE is possible. Is it that difficult to attain? Nobody speaks about it. Is it a forgotten issue? Peace, please, not war.

Nadeem ZIA , Paris
I'm really sad to know this, some people think that with the fear and terror they can rule the world , they must must stop all these destructions. I believe that only love alon can heal the world...All my prayers for London. Thnaks

Without flags;without uniforms, they sneak into tubes and busses and maim innocent people. And, these cowards profess to do it in the name of God. How low can humanity plunge?

elma from the netherlands
We had already planned a visit to London during our summer holidays and now we will DEFINITELY go!! We support all people concerned with our warmest feelings of compassion. DO NOT LET THOSE COWARDLY TERRORISTS WIN AND TAKE AWAY THE STRENGTH OF YOU BEAUTIFUL CITY With love from Holland

Anon
Why blame Tony Blair - this would have happened anyway, despite Iraq. Those who criticise/blame TB, Government, Police, ought to be ashamed of themselves. Where's your sense of national identity and pride?

Trayce
Its a terrible day. I only hope that this will serve to fuel Londoners, and the rest of us in Britain, to fight against those cowardly 'martyrs' who are so misguided in their self-righteousness. Surely the martys are the ones who are innocently killed and not the killers? My heart goes out to everyone in London today. Its a sad day.

Jonathan
My sympathy goes out to all those involved in this outragous incident. People should not have to walk the streets with terror, which is exactly what the people responsible for these acts want.

Irfan Durrani, London
Its not the attack on people of a single religion, Its the attack humanity and all us Londoners. Now is the time for all of us to stand side by side and show those terrorists that they can never win! A muslim from London.

Fernando Reveco

Now Blair and his self-appointed global policeman Bush must know that they should never have trained such "terrorists", then "fredom fighters".

Liz Fevrier (Cape Town)
My heartfelt compassion for injured and hurt, but more so for relatives who lost loved ones. My son, Jared (19) started working at John Helix Furniture Store on Monday & I trust he is not injured. If anyone knows of him, please do e-mail me. It is a horrid feeling. liz@wcp.co.za

Put the rest of our cities on alert, it scares me to live in peterborough. My heart goes out to london and all involved

rob morton
I live in Dubai. Perhaps even Tony Blair will understand some of the consequances of his actions now.His stupidity in saying it was "particularly Barbaric" to do it while a bunch of other politicians were meeting 400 miles away is especially self important.

Aaron.
Its a sad sad day.

Davud Plato
I commute from High Wycombe on a daily basis. At the time I was on a tube at Oxford Circus when we were told that the Picadilly line was closed due to a power cut. I walked and used a bus for the remainder of my Journal. I learnt about the situation when I arrived at work. I need to get back to High Wycombe. All modes of public transport are down, however, I will try and get home somehow.

daniel
i wasnt there but its an awfull thing to happen to anybody, but after the good news yesterday about the olympics

Becky
I'm 15 and i think this so stupid. Why can't countries just get on! All these terrorists should just leave us alone. We have tried our best to help them and get rid of poverty and this is all the thanks we get! Killing many beloved people just to prove a point - well it's not fair! They should be locked away for what they are doing to more families.

Jazmin Crocombe
The explosion was amazing the sound was extraordinary and it was so scary.
