The Momeraths will make you smile. Like you've just walked in on your little sister mucking around with your vintage LPs.

You probably shouldn't. You'd usually be a bit peeved at those grubby mitts all over your vinyls, but there's something in the naive pleasure that reminds you of the joy of music and its discovery.

The five members of The Momeraths certainly give you plenty to smile about, with their Mamas and Papas-style cheer, happy clattering and have-a-go attitude. They even dress fun!

Pure pop addicts, the band love anything from The Andrews Sisters to Belle and Sebastian and even a bit of Katy Perry. In fact, they once threatened to cover a version of her number Hot 'n' Cold on account of its irresistible pop sensibilities.

Our London Calling track, The Boyfriend Song, is just one number from their debut E.P. Crayon Colours, and it perfectly captures the band's girl/boy vocals and irrepressible, upbeat style.

The evenings are getting lighter, the January blues are behind us and with The Momeraths in the air, we can all remind ourselves that summer is a mere flip of the radio dial away.
