Beta Rays formed on St. Valentine's Day 2007 and are thus coming up to two years of age. Aww.

They have an air of classic rock about them, citing influences among听the likes of Led Zeppelin, R.E.M, Queen, The Police, Brian Wilson, The Beatles, and more modern icons including The Libertines, Muse and Blink-182.

That aside, this band can roll out a piano tear-jerker with the best of them. Check out their MySpace if you don't believe us!

Grin and bare it: Beta Rays in da studio

There you'll find our personal and London Calling favourite, I Saw It, I Dig It, I Want It, next to numbers such as final track You Should Have Run Away Too, both of which highlight the band's vocal harmonies.

In their two years together the boys are proud to have worked with Raj Manek who fronts the Manek talent agency, and have not looked back since. It led to a recording session at Abbey Road Studios to master the debut E.P, I Fell In Love, which is now on current download release.

Being frog-marched out of the building for playing Beatles covers in the hallowed Studio 2 (they had to break in to do so) was not such a golden moment. But none the less, how very rock 'n' roll. Beta Rays, we salute you!
