When Peter Daniel was ten he took a picture of his grandfather's uncle, Monty Daniel, to school for a history lesson which was about the First World War. Thirty years later he is currently working as an education officer for Westminster Archives.听 One of his projects is to talk with school children teaching them about the Great War and the importance of having memorials and remembrance for those who died but do not have a grave. His access to the archives has enabled him to put the pieces together of a mystery that surrounded his relative Monty Daniel. Monty's story and three other soldiers from the First World War are exhibited in an exhibition at Westminster Abbey which is called Not Forgotten which was a partnership between Westminster, Bexley, medway and Knet archives.听 It was funded by Their past Your Future 2, a Big Lottery initiative aimed at making young people aware of conflict and remembrance.
