Eleven young people between 16 and 25 came to Rich Mix in Bethnal Green for a one day 91Èȱ¬ London radio sessionÌýwhich gave them a chance to make their own short pieces.

They all answered a call from Tower Hamlets Summer University to learn how to develop their own ideas, try out different recording techniques and edit their own material.

The results make for an enriching snapshot of young people feeding off their similarities and differences and showing they can laugh at themselves.

Denise, Yetunde, Rizak and Shahanah have looked at the social networking craze with particular emphasis on their own favourite, Facebook.

They went out on the streets to find out why the site is so popular with young people and just how addictive it's become.

Nomtha, Sam and Zak focused on the changing face of the east London.

Unlike the other members of his group, Zak is from the area, so Nomtha and Sam wanted to find out why so many young people think the east end is the only place to be seen.

While Zak feels the area has changed for the better other people interviewed see it's new cool image as a cause for concern...

Finally, Sasha, Tashan, Patrick and Shanice played with the assumptions we make when we meet someone for the first time.
