Though they may not be your first choice of trio to meet down a dark ally, here's a band with the ability to charm a curious intrigue into those who cross their path.

Take for instance, the deep-throated vocals of singer and bassist Si McCabe, to set alongside some of their more morbid utterings as a welcome pick me up for a somewhat nightmarish musical soundtrack.

Despite the nightmares and a style they call "paranoid pop", Lord Auch still fondly remember being asked to play, yes, in a church (!) as one of their best moments to date.

Whether it was for the iconic setting in itself, or purely for making a raucous racket in the house of the Lord we're still unsure.

They go on to describe recently covering Kelly Marie's Feels Like I'm In Love as going down the proverbial storm, so watch this space for repeat performances of the disco classic.
