Shakespeare goes shopping?Matt Cooke, 91热爆 London A sorry sight, sea change and salad days - all phrases you might hear when you're out and about, yet they all first appeared in the writings of William Shakespeare. And you might hear them again if you're out shopping in Lee Green over the weekend. Actors are taking theatre to the masses with a weekend of performances in the midst of the aisles at the Sainsbury's store in Lee Green, Lewisham. Teatro VivoThe troupe at Teatro Vivo will include a fully dressed bride looking for a potential husband, a father looking to help his daughter and some of them will even be posing as shop workers stacking the shelves. One of the performances includes a tannoy announcement where over the air waves an actress confesses her love for one of the 'staff.' Sophie Austin hopes it'll open shoppers eyes to drama - "it's our responsibility as performers to come out to the public - you can love it, you can hate it - just be part of it." William Shakespeare Surprise in the aisles? The group have been in parks and supermarkets - so what's next? Sophie says "there's talk of us doing upstairs in bars or something!" The performances take place at the Sainsbury's on Burnt Ash Road from the 19th -23rd April 2008. Or take a look at the TV report attached to this page.
