Both of these will be built at Rom Valley Way.

The leisure centre will also include a gymnasium, dance and fitness studios, as well as health and beauty facilities.

It'll be funded by the building of 500 residential units on the site.

Councillor Michael White, who is the leader of Havering Council said it was good news for the borough:
'These exciting proposals offer something for everyone', he said,
'I am sure the ice rink and pool will prove to be first class facilities for those who are active in sports and will encourage participation from those who aren't.

I have no doubt that the leisure centre will be an important part of Havering's leisure and social scene and will be a superb development of which we can all be proud.'

It is hoped work will start on the development in the middle of next year.
