Un-phased and breezy, Sarah's music is a mix of mellow soul and urban rhythms, drawing influences from Fiona Apple, Erykah Badu, and Stevie Wonder.

Perhaps it is this admiration for what she refers to as, "real and true Soul and originality" in others that gives her own music its own authenticity and makes Sarah Williams White an effortlessly likeable character.

Visit her website and what you see is not a try hard spectacle, but a collection of thoughts, poems and videos etched onto her page like a paint palette of her life.

Ask her the best moment of her music career to date and it's not the numerous salutes given to her from the music industry but rather, she says: "When my old piano teacher, Hilary Cameron, first played and sang My Baby Just Cares For Me in a lesson when I was 14 or 15. Learning old jazz songs with her inspired me more than she probably knows."

Having grown up playing piano, Sarah Williams White still records solo for the most part, though live appearances are made alongside regular partner in crime, TRICKard (Tim Rickard) on Cajon / Percussion.

More recently she has been dabbling with the idea of a full band, which she hopes to perform with on her forthcoming live dates. The current line up is to include Chris Borud on bass, Graham Godfrey on drums, and Eivind Reke on guitar.
