Having played together for three years, Captain Phoenix have crafted a set resonating with the melody and romantic overtones only the truest of today's Britpop could forge.

Knowing their blues and classic electric guitar like their ABC, the band describe their finely executed sound as an "exciting mess", while considering Fleetwood Mac's The Chain as having it all in a song, and one they'd love to cover.

The band have been well received by National press and are currently celebrating their recent popularity by filling venues up and down the country.

Currently on UK tour, the band have just got back from a whistle stop trip to Japan. It's a wonder they find time to look back, but they did manage to tell us about their experience on the French live circuit, where they played earlier this year.

"At Le Showcase in Paris, which is a massive cavern under one of the main bridges,听 we played to about 2000 crazy Parisians on a Saturday night", they enthuse, "Same can't be said for our van, which refused to start on the Sunday afternoon, and is now in a Garage in Hampton being fixed up for our tour!"
