FrYars' Ben Garrett computes and writes all his own music. The result of which is just under a year's worth of recording and mixing, currently available online. Including the London Calling track, The Ides, frYars' E.P. of the same name is due for release at the end of September and features Cajun Dance Party's Robbie and Max as well as its creator, the aforementioned Ben. Influenced by David Bowie and Blur, the experimental style of his music is plain to hear in both programming and structure. Hot stuff! frYars smoking It's erratic, yet strangely beguiling; a real audio funfair complete with neon lights, runaway ghost train and a melancholic carousel. FrYars' undeniable talent, meanwhile, provides the candy by way of synth, accordion and uncontrollable melodies that manage to jerk their way through every track.
