North London five piece Deaf Stereo, have been together for two years. In that time they have cultivated themselves into a British electro-rock outfit that hark of New Order and good old nihilistic Brit-rock. Made up of lead Singer Luke Paterson, Ben Vella on Guitar & Vocals, Will Hedges on Bass, Barney Freeman responsible for the live production and drummer Tom Peters also put in charge of synths, Deaf Stereo create a massive sound. Good job too, because they've already filled some pretty massive venues, including Brixton academy last year. With influences stemming in part from typically electro groups such as Autechre and New Order, their capabilities for a good rock song come from a love of classic British pop-rock including Primal Scream and The Rolling Stones. If they were to cover one song, they tell us it would have to be The Stones' you Can't Always Get What You Want. Deaf Stereo Stay up to date with the band's current releases and tour dates on their MySpace page, www.myspace.com/deafstereo.
