Meet the two actors who could fill the gap with their tribute musical. 'Never Forget - the Musical' arrived at Leicester's De Montfort Hall to be received by very happy crowds. The feel-good romantic comedy features the songs of Take That and stars Philip Olivier, who you might know better as Tinhead from the soap Brookside, alongside Leicester actor Tom Bradley.

Help playing audio/video 'Never Forget' follows five young men who audition to be in a Take That tribute band, taking in many of the early songs along the way; "It's a mixture between a comedy and a concert." Tom plays Adrian, the geeky member of the group, whilst Phil plays a stripper called Harry (yes he does take a number of clothes off onstage!). The lads are about four months into a year long tour of the show, and now feel quite settled into their roles. However they still feel a buzz of excitement on opening nights at new venues, and if they know their mum is in the audience! Tom, Tony and Philip Local TalentTom is originally from Narborough but now lives in Leicester Forest East when not away with work. For him the travelling is almost a university replacement so doesn't bother him too much, however this homecoming has had an impact on the young actor: "You grow up in a certain place and you think, 'Yeah it's Leicester, it's where I live, where grew up, whatever'. "But coming back this time I've found a real appreciation for it and I'm really like, 'Yeah, come on Leicester!'" Being in show business came as a bit of a surprise for Tom. His parents and sister were very much involved in amateur dramatics when he was younger, but he never envisaged himself on stage. However when he did change his mind his parents supported him throughout and continue to do so, "I take it for granted a little bit and I shouldn't." The Happy VisitorFor Philip it took a little while longer to convince his dad that acting was the right career path: "Anyone out there who hasn't got the support of their family or anyone, if they've got a dream then just believe in themselves." Philip has worked in television and film, but prefers the instant audience reaction of theatre audiences. He's looking forward to the tour passing through his home city of Liverpool, but for now this one is suiting him just fine: "It's beautiful, especially De Montfort Hall - it's stunning... "It's a lot more than my expectations 'cos some people do put Leicester down, like we've actually heard them, but I've had a great time." last updated: 12/06/2009 at 17:08 SEE ALSOYou are in: Leicester > Entertainment > Theatre and Arts > Features > Never Forget Leicester
