Ich bin stutzig, weil es doof ist!
I love German - the words are so interesting and often very comical to us English speakers. One of my favourite German words is doof, meaning "stupid" or "daft", as it is an abrupt, to-the-point word that just seems so appropriate! Another word which I find funny is stutzig, meaning "puzzled". When I see or hear this word I always get a mental picture of someone looking politely perplexed!

The best German phrases are idioms that translate to be something completely different like einen Kater haben literally 'to have a tom cat' but used to as a word for hangover. The best is Das ist nicht mein Fall meaning 'that is not my cup of tea' but I don't know what it means literally but a cup of tea is: ein Tasse Tee.
I think the word Deutsch itself is interesting and rather hard to remember how to spell!
My favorite word is ·¡¾±³¦³ó³óö°ù²Ô³¦³ó±ð²Ô (squirrel)! Its fun to say.
German is very enjoyable to learn. Some words that make me smile are Mannschaft ... it means team. And the word for baked beans is gebackene Bohnen.
Yeah I know, some of the words are hilarious! I love German, I speak it to my family all the time and they don't have a clue what I'm saying. :) My favourite word is putzig - meaning cute!
At my first German lesson I have learnt the word Seelenklempner, lit. 'soul plumber' which is slang for a psychiatrist who may be of use to people who have gone doof.
German words are very interesting - I love the 23 letter words that are comprised of like 3 or 4 normal words - very mind blowing.
Ich habe meine Katze in der Mikrowelle gekocht.
When I was learning German, our teacher used to give us words that we had to put in sentences. This is one we came up with when we picked up Katze (cat) and Mikrowelle (Microwave).
The sentence means "I have cooked my cat in the microwave". It was a really good way of learning because I've never forgotten it!
