You are so huomiseksi

On a holiday trip to Finland we saw a sign in a shop window saying huomiseksi. Further investigations revealed that the word means 'by tomorrow' - which wasn't exactly what we thought it would mean. Another word we really enjoyed was hyppytyyny which means bouncy cushion. 50% of this word consist of the letter y. You can take it even further: hyppytyynytyydytys, bouncy cushion satisfaction.

Another nice word I heard as a name of a cub scouts' group is ´³Ã¤°ìä±ôä°ìä±èä±ôä³Ù, The Lichen Paws.

About the "Kokko, kokoo kokoon koko kokko" phrase, there's a longer version, still only using 'k' and 'o' (with one 'n'): "Kokko, kokoo kokoon koko kokko." "Koko kokkoko?" "Koko kokko." Which means "Kokko (surname), gather together the whole bonfire." "The whole bonfire?" "The whole bonfire." Questions are indicated in Finnish by the ending '-ko'.

Kokko, kokoo kokoon koko kokko. That's actually a sentence in Finnish, meaning Kokko (a surname), gather the whole bonfire together.

I like Finnish, although I can't speak it. My brother just gave me a CD he got during his visit in Finland in a Finnish fast food restaurant, Hesburger. I don't have a clue what they are singing, probably childrens' songs, but I enjoy the sound of it.

In the Finnish language, 'y' is a vowel pronounced a bit like 'ew' in English or 'u' in French.

You can also use this phrase instead of huomiseksi: huomiseen mennessä, by tomorrow.
