I feel really hot
After walking through semi desert all morning in Venezuela I came to a one-horse village, went to the bar and ordered a beer. Feeling like Indiana Jones, I necked it in one, turned to the guy next to me and said Asà está mejor, estoy muy caliente. He backed away. A week later I realised I 'd said: "That's better, I'm really randy" rather than "I'm so hot".
Editor’s note: Caliente means hot when applied to objects, when applied to people it means randy. To say you're hot, you say tengo calor.

When my family and I visited Mexico my dad wanted to speak Spanish. On our first tour and said to our guide "Estoy caliente." Our guide began to laugh and said in perfect English, "I'm happy for you. You have a very pretty wife." It just so happend that in that part of Mexico, to say your horny you say "Estoy caliente." After hearing him say he had a beautiful wife, my dad responded with "Gracias, mi esposo es muy bonito."
Also be careful when saying I am excited (estoy emocionado). Don't mix it up with estoy excitado, which means about the same thing.
My taxi driver from Barcelona airport seemed really keen, wanted my phone number, to take me to a fiesta and even called at the hotel. It was four weeks before I realised what I'd said to him ...
This also works in German. If you say Ich bin heiß it means I am randy, instead you have to say Es ist heiß or It's hot.
And in German the opposite works too. Some years back, I tried to chat up a German girl and noticing she had goose pimples wanted to ask if she was cold. I translated the English literally "Sind Sie kalt?", meaning are you frigid, instead of "Ist es Ihnen kalt?" which is what I should have asked. Needless to say, that was the end of the conversation.
