While walking the Camino to Santiago de Compostela, I went to a Guardia Civil barracks to get my credencial stamped. I announced to a packed barrack room that I was un pelÃcano. They politely pointed out that it was more likely that I was un peregrino, a pilgrim, than a pelican.
