I was looking for something to eat for lunch and stopped at an outside stall selling steamed buns, I checked with the storekeeper whether he had vegetarian and the price for three. Since he did and the price was reasonable I tried to say I wanted to buy them and said "wo3 yao4 mai4!". The shopkeeper grinning said emphatically, no no!, "wo3 yao4 mai4!, ni3 yao4 mai3!" ..... "No, I want to sell!, you want to buy!" Lucky he cleared that up :)
