A colleague of mine who was a French oral examiner told me of a candidate who claimed: Jeanne d'Arc était enceinte, Joan of Arc was pregnant. An easy claim to make if you don't watch your pronunciation of Jeanne d'Arc était une sainte, Joan of Arc was a saint.
